18% faster with one piece flow vs. only a small 3 piece batch. Imagine how this scales with larger batches. Economies of flow not economies of scale! (Unless you have very cheap labour, little concern for right first time, and customers who are prepared to wait; um no.)

Love the temp gun idea. Word of advice, read the manual on it because it has a specific range it has to be used within. Lots of people don't realize that and greatly lower the accuracy of the temp measurement.
