Thanks, I've been granite fabrication for now 8 years, and the things waterjets and cncs can do will blow your mind, this piece was a masterpiece, after putting it together carefully i hated to see it go. We fabricated about avg of 2500 sq ft of granite a day, about 30 to 40 kitchens a day.
30 -40 kitchens a day? That’s gotta be over 10,000 square feet a week. We’re you doing all new builds? I worked at a shop that pushed 10,000 square feet only a week only a handful of times. Must of been a shop with over 200+ employees I’d imagine.
@@cs9667I'm still at this company, we average about 50k to 60k square feet a month. Most of our business is in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex
@@pherdog82 that’s amazing, I’d love to take a tour of the shop you work at if I lived out there. By the way that island looks amazing! Im just curious, is the laminate strip with the triple waterfall 2 inches wide? Im about to do my first 6cm vanity and am going to use Cove DuPont to a bullnose and was looking for some examples to follow. I’ve been in the stone industry for 8 years but never got a chance to work with much 6cm.
@@cs9667 on this particular island we did a 2.5 inch lamination strip because with the waterfall edge coming back so far we needed material to clamp to when we glued it. We done miter porcelain recently, that's a tough cookie to do for sure. One chip on the miter and you start all over.
@@cs9667 do you have a waterjet and a cnc edging machine? If you do it'll make life easier doing custom jobs like this.
Few videos on here I see deserve a thumbs up when it comes to granite! But I have to say good job guys.Nice to see other fabricators out there taking this much pride in their work as well!

Yea it helped the fuel mileage a little, i'm in the process of building a vortec 383 with a comp cam and will reprogram the cpu, i'm currently running strait exhaust with hi flow cats, i've out ran a 2008 single cab Gmc with the 4.8 from a 60 punch to 100, the motor has 250,000 and still runs strong so i maybe waiting a long time for the rings to go, it only uses a half quart of oil between changes, and i will check out the BlackBear Performance, what gains do you get with it?
PS; throttle body spacers on the Vortec motors do nothing. Also, check out BlackBear Performance and get rid of that horrible Hypertech programmer. A Magnaflow muffler will also help your low end TQ.
No pics, this is the top, it is two pieces seamed together, it weighs about 1200 pounds and cost the customer 12,000$ took me 4 days to laminate it all together, it is two 3 cm pieces glued together.

its a hypertech programmer but i also have a helix throttle body spacer, accel super coil, k&n air filter,dual strait exhaust with just the cat. converter's,i run 92 oct gas also, the mileage is original on engine, transmission was replaced at 90,000 by GM, she has been a awsome truck, I can't knock the vortec 5.7.
