So from the manual, this seems to be a parametric EQ with no bandwidth control, where the _Spectrum_ knob sets the center frequency between 500 Hz and 5 kHz, and the _Balance_ knob sets the boost, or gain.

I played this at a Guitar Center looking to test various heads, kept coming back to this...must have played it for like an hour it sounded so good. The clean was killer as you've shown...lead was good enough on its own to literally not require any pedals. If it had line out or DI feature I would have been sold.
I've been gigging 2/3 times a week for 3 years now and I'm still really pleased with it.

I thought the Sheffield sounded the most balanced although I actually liked the Eminence a lot as it made everything sound bigger, richer and smoother at the expense of some crispness.
You see a lot of hate for Peavey stuff on the net but although I don't use one currently I've done a lot of years with their stuff and they have mostly been brilliant. This one came out of a 1x12 extension cab that I used with a Peavey Special and it always sounded good . I also had ten good years out of a Delta Blues and 10 out of a Stereo Chorus before that. I would never dis Peavey gear - always good bang for the buck. I wasn't a fan of the Scorpion speakers though.
