Nice setup! If it’s a Texas, I suggest making sure u check or rewire whole trailer bc they use bare wires that will just run and short out in the future.

Oh wow, yeah good thing is still under warranty! Some people do a force regeneration and say fixes problem. I had an issue with a sensor that they covered and replaced

You are correct! Although I have scaled with my 3500 and Kaufman mini 5 before, but your always limiting yourself, just upgrade and be safer for everyone 👍🏻

@@azhauling4109 next week I will ad a new ram 5500 and I ordered a sun country 5 car trailer there so much better I never would get a mini 5 again that's the way to go if you want to make it right

@@brianwanner2539 I’m working on that brother!!! Oh I know the headaches and struggles of the minis 😂 that is the ultimate trailer setup. I was looking at those or the infinity trailer. Then I don’t have to worry about getting a head stroke on the top decker in the summer 😆

I ordered 6 of them through Texas Pride and paid a lot for delivery bc of weight 🙄 but I’m sure there other place you should be able to get some.

On my ram 3500 it was fuse f28 f29 and f30 and I think there is another one for the trailer plug. Nut those are the main 3

Was manufactured 8/2020. Yeah their good and strong, but they cut corners, so you need to fix/reinforce certain things. What did you buy a 5 car? I would check wires and make sure they didn’t cheap out and just run them bare like my trailer, and their will be cracks coming in the future that will need reinforcing

@@azhauling4109 they just delivered mine, looking good with lots of upgrades. Yah, its the 5 mini.

@AZ Hauling don't go cheap fella and get a single wheel semi. You will be limiting yourself to haul 80k. Plus single wheel semi's look goofy..

Depends on which officer you get. Some calculate the tire rating and fine you for that, others go off of the sticker (which I’ve gotten written up for) and get you on that. I’ve heard some people even have DOT have them detach from their trailer and rescale and get fined for being over weight on their trailer bc their GVWR wasn’t enough. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I just like to be good and green in all boxes! ✅

Hey James, it all depends on what you plan on doing with the trailer. To me, the 5 car is worth it bc I haul a lot of junk cars from salvage yards, so 1 pick 1 drop, I chain and go. But if you get a 3 car-low profile wedge with flippers on them, then that’s ur best bet bc you can pretty much load anything on it, and it’s fast and easy. You can load 3 cars and driver while it’s takes u longer to load the 5 car and driver. Yea it’s extra 2 cars but u end up loosing a day loading so evens itself out.

Yeah, biggest issue is these 🤬 brakes. Hydraulics/lines/wires no problem easy fix but these brakes are killing me….. should’ve converted them last time 😒

You can actually do a 3500 with a Kaufman mini 5 and be able to scale. I have a Kaufman mini 5 also and as long as you position correctly you’re ok. Now, going with a 550/5500 if way better since have better tires, turning radius, brakes, springs, etc. so that is the better way to do as your planning. 😂 ur lucky if u ever get a vehicle with a full tank! Probably face more that are on E then F!

Still got good old Betty White! She has 58,000 miles on her. Had issue with it, but turns out was bad air-filter they said, and suggested rehanging fuel filters.

Never had a Chevy, but owned a F450, but nothing compares to Ram’s exhaust brake!

@@azhauling4109 i know you didnt have a chevy. I was saying why didnt u get a chevy 5500? Also what happened to ur white dodge and why did you get the new one?

I tried a Chevy 5500 before I ended up with a Ram. Chevy exhaust brake is inadequate compared to the Cummins. The Chevy turning radius was the real deal breaker... It was horrible. Inline 6 for long heavy hauling is just a better design also. I prefer Chevy 1500 and even 2500 but definitely not class 4 and 5.

You have a wire short somewhere In ur trailer. I had my tail/marker lights rubbing and from water would melt and short.
