I didn’t understand what you said regarding people not getting their letters. I know the Lagos embassy was working with essential staff only for two days during the protest. I don’t know if they are back to full staff.

Hello Lucy ❤I just watched your NVC update video again and still didn’t see the chart. You did mention the number 5,000 + and the fact you didn’t understand why people aren’t getting their letters.
@@lkkpet Yes, if the number of people NVC is scheduling for interview is increasing, I don't understand why lots of people aren't getting their interview appointment letter. So I think the delay is probably from local embassies not NVC. 55,000 plus are scheduled for interview this month which is the highest number so far.
@@LucyTombere this is what is confusing . If that high number of interviews are scheduled that means the embassies have sent interview slots to NVC. So if the embassies are the issue, then how can 55000+ interviews be scheduled? That number of slots must be available and the embassies must have let NVC know that information which would have generated letters being sent.
I’m on an immigration support group on Facebook. People are saying the last letters sent out for interviews in Lagos were cases DQd in the beginning of August 2023.

Good morning Sir. If your visa category is CR1/ IR1, then you only have to be checking their( NVC) monthly update to know when you will likely get your IL. This will also depend on your local embassy as well.
@LucyTombere my wife is a united state citizen so I don't think I need the visa bulletin
@@harunanazifi1793 I meant NVC monthly backlog report. That's what I was doing during my time and it eased the tension. My husband too is a US citizen.

Hello Lucy, Please do u have an idea how many 60days letter notifications will one receive frm NVC since DQ 2021. This is currently the second 60days notification am getting and stating I should wait for another 60days Interview Letter.
I only received a message that was when I was dqed. Is your visa category immigrant? CR/IR?

@@TaliyahIsmail Started with CR1 but it got changed to IR1 because our marriage became more than 2 years before I got my interview appointment letter.
I’ve been told the Lagos embassy has not sent interview letter since April. There is no word when Lagos will begin once again. People have been waiting who were qualified August 2923.
@@lkkpet That's serious. The delay is likely from them then. Still hang in there, let's see how the remaining months goes.
@@LucyTombere I was told by someone that Lagos had stopped sending ILs for 3 months and now begin again. They gave no reason as to why. They are behind the national numbers by 3 - 4 months 🤬
@@lkkpet Better they have resumed and i pray they don't halt without tangible reasons. Also i pray the next US president favors Nigeria so there won't be any immigration restriction again.
We are still waiting for our IL from Lagos! I was hoping it would’ve come in June. Now I’m hoping for August. How can they just STOP sending out IL? People’s lives are depending on these interviews! 😢

Hello Lucy ❤ I’m in a Nigerian immigration group on Facebook. The people in the group are all IR 1/CR1/k visa cases. Most cases were DQd August 2023. They have been waiting for their IL The people, several living in Nigeria say no ILs have been sent since April . Do you know what’s happening?
@@lkkpet I wish I have answers to this question. Don't know what has changed but nevertheless, let's see how the rest of the year goes.
My case k1 is ready since January 19 and was updated 12 February just this june 12 it was updated but still no welcome letter tho i got my FTP letter,my noa1 and noa 2 letters but the last letter to go ahead to schedule my medicals problem i hope they send me this month Amen
Don't know much about K1 visa but let's see how the rest of the months go before end of 2024.

When I arrived in Washington, they bombarded me with a lot of questions. From purpose of trip which is normal, address, tuition payment, how much I'm bringing in, content of my luggage, how many bags, bringing any food item? etc. I'm happy I did a lot of research before I left and was able to answer those questions, so they stamped me in.

Hello, I’m sorry to bother you again. Could you please confirm if you obtained another police certificate before your interview, in addition to the one we uploaded electronically? The reason I ask is that, in Nigeria, police certificates are only valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. The police certificate I uploaded before getting qualified has now expired because it took another year to get an appointment for the interview. We have been asked to bring all the copies of what we uploaded. Did you apply for another police certificate before your interview, or did you use the one you initially uploaded before your interview was scheduled?
Yes you have to. Once your interview letter gets to you, you have to go get another police report at Alagbon in lagos state.

If it goes by the calculation, your IL should get to you in August. One thing to know is that delay can be from local embassy not nvc. So just keep hanging in there till you get the IL. Goodluck.
