bro love the lessons, ive been sketching aimlessly for years yeah i admit it i have a ton of art books i never completely read through but your lessons really demonstrate movement for me so thanks bro

I always loved to draw because you can use your imagination to create anything but know matter how hard I tried I couldn't draw worth a sht.

Honestly I'm kinda at a loss at this point. I draw and paint digitally, but even after creating over 260 digital canvasses over a few years, I went back to tracing anatomy from references otherwise I can never produce something that looks remotely satisfactory. It looks off, stiff and sub par. As much as i'd like to believe talent doesn't really matter, I just cant anymore. Some people have complimented me on my ''anatomy improvement'' while I'm just stealing other artists anatomy (not anything else though...). I refrain from doing any studies anymore, because I just don't see the point, I won't become better.

It's quite dangerous to say drawing should be like ''x''. A stress relief, mindless, whatever. People personalities differ, some people like to doodle, other people are way more planful.

I think one of my favorite things about art is how artists become experts at drawing what doesn't exist, but could in their imagined setting. I mean we are _inventing worlds_ and creatures and putting life from our world into those inventions to make them believable. It's simply incredible what people are able to do

I got this recc'd to me on google, and normally that drives me nuts, but this was a really good video! The artist's voice and calm demeanor reminded me a lot of Bob Ross, the twist being the creature feature. I think a lot of important information hits you within the first 5 minutes this video, and throughout there's a lot of great tips on drawing I would never think about, like weight distribution. The funny thing is I'd JUST been thinking this evening how I'd love to draw some insane "monsters" like in Guillermo del Toro's films (Hellboy mostly) even though I haven't been able to pick up a pen in years. I never said this out loud btw, but I still got this video pushed. Idk, maybe AI is real and it reads minds now 😂 But this semi chill tutorial definitely helped with me wanting to free sketch and just create. Hopefully I will, because when I was getting back into drawing (before my mom passed away 7 years ago) I thought I did see a small improvement within a month's-ish time frame. I've always wanted to draw people, more cartoony, and weird things. Thanks for making this video

I haven't drawn in ten years, followed along with this video and surprised myself. It came out so good, which is refreshing because I originally gave up drawing since I was a perfectionist. Robins and a few other birds do actually have fleshy folds around the ends of the beaks, lips in a way. I've raised many a robin and mourning dove. I did enjoy this video.

I am still trying to find my style. I found this channel earlier this week and I'm stoked because you actually explain what you're doing, how you do it, and just go with it. I'm still drawing things that others have already done but im trying to modify them by taking away or adding things.
