I still don't understand, but how does this bogie turn? It is usually centered on an axis to rotate. And how can it rotate if it is attached on both sides with compressors (suspension system) ?

The old problem of staggered biplanes is back. The front wing sees the rear's upwash, while the rear wing has to live the the front's downwash. We have to live with true non-linear aerodynamic characteristics, complicating layout out FC-Systems, which is even more complex with the multitude of controls here and there. Furthermore the "box-sides" supposed to act like wing-lets will do so only at a certain flight-condition (speed, AOA and/or weight). As long as they can not be adjusted to the developing induced tip vortices the eventual thrust along the side-leading-edge is not available. Apart from that the parasitic drag and interference drag comes with the planes complexity. The ease of streched or shortened fuselages no longer can be used and each version has to have its individual wing-integration.

Hmm. This ONLY accounts for induced drag and not the parasitic drag that is much higher on box wings

i have allways been confused with simulations. I have done many at uni but never knew what was its purpose. How do you go from a simulation to real world? how are this systems applied to real machinery? it,s like doing a huge amount of calculations with pencil and paper, and now what do i do with it? universities are a lot of crap making the bridge between simulations a real instalations. you are left wondering what your calculations were for.
