We actually used points but the cost normally for this time of year was around $130 for a standard room but was given a free upgrade. We really liked it.

Honestly, it can get rough but not enough for a helmet. Id suggest wearing an athletic cup over anything. There is no protection that would save you in the dome with a woman. They are next level brutal.

That’s the problem. Excessive party goers attending almost exclusively with that being most paramount. That was the old days mentality, and exactly why they stopped late week entry for the holiday Reno crowd that fucked shit up. That said, I disagree with you. The REAL party is going on all week, prior to the amateur burn night shit show. That’s when you’ll find more intimate gatherings, performances, see shit, do shit, meet people, partake in interactive projects….before surrounded by; what always feels like tourists on Saturday. That’s because that kinda what it is. Best bet is to roam away from the crowds, and find the same type of muphuccas who have been there all week (probably earlier), and don’t give a shit about the parties most have been saving themselves for. Fucking dumb. The week leading up to it IS the experience. For many of us that happens the week before as well. Not about “partying” per se. It’s about participation & kicking it with like-minded people that don’t say “welcome home” or some other pretentious whack ass shit. Unfortunately fewer & fewer of those people go now, so probably best if everyone just accept BM sucks. Fuck yer burn. Now, and forever ; )
