Love it! Some of the licks here turn up in the fade of Paul Simon's Late in the Evening (on which Eric Gale and Steve Gadd play).

One of my favorite guitarist Eric Gale...always looks pissed off during live performances like he didn't get paid for the gig.

As Keith Richards once said : " We're gonna murder the audience. " STUFF did it in Switzerland, in a torrent of sounds, yet no one got harmed. One of the best. MERCI Dr. H.

Bro I just found this band like half a year ago and I am OBSESSED! Stuff's music just makes me so happy. It's the band I put on whenever I'm vibing with the boys after a couple drinks. I think my favourite track has got to be "How Long Will it Last?", but there's so many other great tracks like "Always, Love Having You Around, Looking For The Juice, Love The Stuff/Aint No Mountain High Enough, Happy Farms etc.. And now I'm on an Eric Gale binge and oh boy does it sound so much like stuff! I dont even know who this comment is for, I just really enjoy listening to Stuff and I'd love to talk with people who love them as much as me! Honestly I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be their number one listener on spotify this year lmao.

A fantastic, and under-rated band. This is from their performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1976. Has a band ever swung or rocked any harder than this (after the great Piano solo)?

Amazing because you can hear the spiritual nature to this music! Isn’t Richard Tee’s playing style strongly influenced by “Harlem boogie” music?

@@jayhop2785 Stuff is my first musical memory, I was born in 1981, and my dad was a jazz musician and had an eclectic music taste, he worked for a local department store in the late 70s here in the Boston area back in the day in the record-LP department. We used to dance around our dining room table while listing to “Foots” and “My Sweetness” when I was a toddler and those two songs are the first songs I remember ever hearing. Flash forward to my teen years when I started playing drums in the school marching band and bass in regular bands to say Gordon Edwards and Stuff were a main musical inspiration for my playing style would be an understatement! And I agree Eric Gale is one of the greats and truly underrated to the casual music listener! His solo collection has some of the finest tracks out there and he nails that 70s fusion sound and when you hear his tracks you not only think beauty and spirituality but also feel like your hopping in a time machine to the 70s during what I consider to be the greatest period in musical history🤓!
