Although I like this little locomotive, it hasn't made it into my collection yet. But if the prices for new products continue to develop like this, I will probably also keep an eye on this gem on the used market

Once I have had a märklin 33182 (in a terrible condition); send it to a colleague, famous for his repair, but in the time the loco had been there he died and no one could find the loco ‐ so it was lost. Yesterday I won an auction of a märklin 37182, looking forward this 'new' S 3/6 to fill the gap in my collection. Nice froggy light green 😊
There is little doubt the Märklin makes use of its center stud AC track, its deep flanged wheels and near-prototype rolling stock. (In fact, spray anything it makes with a matte finish and observe a hellava lot of previously hidden detail!) But what this video offers is no smoke, no sound, no lokfurher and almost no interest. Nice little loco, though!
Yes Marklin does produce very good models
This model is contructed by TRIX, a subcompany of Märklin sind was adapted to 3 rail. Märklin merged with Trix 10 years ago and from that point of time they startet to produce better models. Still behjnd competitors.

Hello, great video and thanks I have 2 questions : 1) Is your (this) Loc 3720 having a sounddecoder or is he original and only the sound of the rails ? 2) I read in the info page that this loc has a 6090 FX decoder. On other video's I hear him crawling like it is a DELTA decoder. Can you confirm which decoder this Loc has ? And does he make lot of noise (electricitytension like a DELTA) at the start ? Thanks inadvance for the answer.
Hello, the 3420 is equipped with a delta decoder and the 3720 with a 8 switches digital No sound for this model

@@MM-ul7sb the 3720 is equipped with a five star engine for a smooth start and slow motion and no, there is no sound module inside

Nice video. I recently converted one into digital and it runs fine. Although the 'Ersatzschleifer' makes a grind noise when running. I don't know the English word but it is the part under the loc that makes contact with the rail. I tried to bend it a bit but it still makes a grinding noise when running. Can you please help ?

Hello, Bachmann use DCC system, only compatible with dcc decoder.... I guess ! But it works with a Trix controler and maybe a Roco Z21 ... !

Des locos avec des souvenirs. La 122, papa a eu... La 80 delta je l'ai eu dès sa sortie, elle a bien roulé à l'époque.

I have one of these with a delta chip. I didn’t realise Marklin released any Primex locos with delta Chips till I bought one on ebay
There's also another loco BR81 with a delta decoder inside... In original box ! These locos are "must have"

Hello I think its the 3082 model... ! The best way to be safe nowadays is to use a white transformer because blue ones burn decoder and electronic inverter ... Cheers from Belgium ! Blue transformers are not recommended in any case... Only for electro-magnetic motors for switches, railroad crossing, or the crane and house and layout lights
