So many great images. I love the artwork of Ciro Marchetti. I have several with his images. I've wanted Magical Journey for so long. I didn't know it came in 300 pieces. I've had a hard time finding the one from Schmidt. I think the Bird of Paradise Pintoo would be awesome for a giveaway.

Hufflepuff here. Taken several sorting quizzes and always sort into Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. I’ve selected Hufflepuff as my house. 👍🏾

Thanks for posting this. :) It's too often that I hear people complain and say "Oh, that's too low a piece count or oh, that's too easy for someone your age". Personally, I enjoy doing 100 piece puzzles as speed puzzles. I can do the same puzzle multiple times in an hour and see the improvement in completion time. The larger counts, like 300 to 500 are great for when I wanna de-stress, but sometimes the race against the clock is just as much fun. 100 piece puzzles, at least to me, are great for that purpose, as well as for people who either lack the patience to do a 300+ piece puzzle or those who need something to keep their brain sharp.

I really enjoyed this, you have excellent interview skills. Feels like we are just friends hanging out together. It's fun to get to know the puzzle creators and artists who bring us so much joy. I'd be very interested in seeing more videos along this line.

Loved the blog post on the Soonness website - I love learning people's back stories. Hope you're feeling better by now. The Piece Relax "functional" puzzles look fun - either pot looks pretty, tbh. Years ago, Ravensburger had Christmas ball puzzles that I got for my girls - similar idea. And I'm signed up already for the VIllager giveaway!

great puzzlehaul! Im sooo curious about the villagers brand but it may take me a while before I can get my hands on one since they are a bit tricky to find in Europe. I've contacted my favorite store tho to try to bring them in stock and it seems doable!

Hi. I have done the Karen 3000 piece puzzle twice now. Took me about 7 weeks as I could only work on it in the weekend. I hope you do get to do it. It’s a beautiful puzzle to do ❤

Ooh some fabulous puzzles! Just FYI, I also thought the same thing about "Artisan Bakery" by Villager Puzzles and was a little scared of it being hard but I ended up absolutely LOVING it. It was much easier than I'd expected and very simple to sort pieces into smaller groups and always had something that I could work on and progress on. It's tied with Rocky Mountains Explorer as my current fave of the new puzzles.

I loved the 1,000 piece Karen's puzzle. It did take me a few days, but I don't speed puzzle. I still have to do the 3,000 piece Karen's puzzle, but I know that will take a lot of time (especially with my helpful kitty).

Leonid Afremov is one of my favorite artists. Discovered him after his death, but the palette knife technique he used to paint is all up my alley. Not sure I would ever want to puzzle his artworks (I generally don't like the texture similarities on painted puzzles...they up the challenge factor and generally reduce the enjoyment for me) but I LOVE to diamond paint his work...they translate to diamond paintings SO WELL.

His train series and postcard series are all fun. I've got to replay the video so I can write down all the ones I need to add to my wishlist.

I just got a Springbok from 2012 in the thrift store for $3! It’s still in the shrink wrap and has the original price on the back of $13.99 from Hallmark! It’s called Twist of Color and it’s 500 pieces. It’s all crayons pointing up in a big round green container. I love the flower pots puzzles! I still haven’t gotten Karen’s puzzle but maybe I’ll ask for Xmas.

Magical Journey is on my wish list. Makes me think of Harry Potter. Ravensburger Typefaces puzzle was used in Pairs at the 2023 Australian National Competition. First place time was 34:19 (source: World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation site) Donnalouise (For the Love Of Puzzles) has recap on her channel. I'm still on my June no buy challenge. So far so good, just 2 more weeks to go!

I used to order the $4.95 puzzle, especially if it was a 1000 or 2000 piece but I haven't been as often since they now make you order a limit before they will ship. I guess I get it but I don't always want to order more puzzles.

That elephant is AMAZING! This was a super helpful video - I am fascinated by Wentworth, but balking at the price a bit - but wooden puzzles locally (I'm in Canada) are even pricier, so there's that. Wasn't there a hot air balloon puzzle by Ravensburger's Nathaniel Mortensen at USA Nationals? Good to see how the patterns in the cut work for the trickier images. Thank you!

Have you tried the trefl prime jigsaws? They are thick chunky pieces like Gibsons.

Great video!! You got some good stuff! Just a heads up, when doing those family puzzles, do the smaller pieces first. The the puzzle just finishes very quickly. If you start with the bigger pieces it is harder to go to the smaller. Ask me how I know.... 😊

I used to only puzzle during the holidays and would grab whatever was cheapest from my local Winco grocery store, Buffalo was a splurge. What does it say about me now that I not only almost always spend less than those puzzles used to cost me (I mostly thrift, but I do buy new here and there if an image calls to me enough or there is a reasonable sale on Amazon), but I've also become a major puzzle snob? I won't do Buffalo anymore because I just don't enjoy the feel of the puzzles, though I have a handful of Aimee Stewarts that I can't part with just yet...because Ravensburger doesn't manufacture every AS artwork (the audacity! lol) and Buffalo is much more prolific. If you feel like a splurge and are open to a happy medium between the 1k and 2k Buffalo options if you ever really want to do the library puzzle, Ravensburger has it in 1500 pieces...I got it on sale a few weeks back from Amazon. I believe they call it 'The Grand Library'. I'm actually cross-stitching a crop from the Mushroom puzzle. There is a similar vibe one of fairies and butterflies that Ravensburger is releasing in 4k in October (there are 2 4k ones listed on Amazon and AFIK they are the first 4k piece stand-alones they've done...the 40k ones are 10x4k but obviously not the same as a single 4k image). I'll probably buy it. I think the size is warranted for the detail. I'm an AS fangirl.

As a potterhead myself (we are probably around the same age, also grow up with the books and films, and every time the waaaait for the next book, esp the Dutch translation lol) I really love this puzzles😍 especially the last 2. I’m a Hufflepuff btw

I love Wentworth puzzles, and I love Harry Potter, so this is a match made in heaven for me!
