I think there's an issue, that women who are trying to be very competitive in a male sense, often do it by their understanding of how men behave. Like women who show aggression. It's not that aggression is universally accepted from men (obviously). But then you should wonder when exactly aggression from men is considered good (or acceptable anyway). Like, if Steve Jobs was horrible at times... That was fine.

In poker everything depends on chance, but top players are always skillful. Even if minor fluctuations affects the result, it's the skill and planning and modelling that helps to navigate through the different factors.

Not everyone is unhappy there. Status is part of the human definition of happiness. The mission matters to people. Without people like Elon, things go slow, great things that should happen might not happen at all. It's just that not everyone can thrive in such environments. Not everyone could've been a hunter or soldier either. But those kinds of roles have still been key to survival and building greater civilizations. Safety and greatness do not aligned. At most one might say that greatness enables safety as a byproduct.

Love this mindset unfortunately people don’t care.
