One of the lovely jobs that i have to do with regular monotony. Every tester has to have the shrink wrap removed and each tester tested before we send them out to ensure that they do work correctly and avoid fake claims. Hi There, It's anyone manage to upgrade the battery for a longer range?
I haven't managed to even remove the existing battery!
@@middle_aged_man Hi there, first of all, thank you for replaying, to remove the battery you need to turn the key right to the left and yes I managed to upgrade my battery to a bigger one still 24v but 10.5a, which provides more power and range wise. (I purchase from eBay for 150£).Any questions please let me know if I can help you. Cheers
@@middle_aged_man Apollo transport battery fits and a load of others with bigger range. Their good little bikes
Yeah the Apollo replacement battery approx £300rrp has a significantly bigger range. Additionally owners need to upgrade the tyres to more puncture resistant like Schwalbe marathon or Btwin range at Decathlon. There is also a hack with the pedal sensor to get the motor to continuously power and a hack to derestrict the EU 15.5mph to US 20mph but better to do this with a battery upgrade and most robust tyres. Like with all ebikes to ensure not to overcharge the battery or leave it unattended for long periods.

I'm going buy this one for weekends uber deliveries and weekdays going to work, (instead of busses). Suggest me if its a good option or not? It's available for £300 on Argos these days
The range on these is 15-20 miles so may not be suitable for deliveries. If you are relatively fit it would be Ok but they are relatively low geared so not particularly quick. £00 is a steal for them but be prepared to make some adjustments to the rear mudguard and brakes when you receive it.
If you are doing deliveries for 2-3hrs or a handful of miles per day is fine but definitely upgrade the tyres and if you can afford it upgraded the battery as a spare.

Great stuff. Just ordered one from Argos and it’s my first bike since I was little. Getting to work and back instead of 2 buses. 👍🏻
@@silverlining5097 I'm glad that it wasn't just me. A bit of brute force and ignorance moved the back mug guard and I loosened both brake cables to stop the wheels from binding on the brakes.
