Congrats your almost at the finish line….July 3rd is my last day of chemo….i have 9 months of herceptin and two more months of keytruda….but the worst is over. It’s been a year and a half roller coaster….finally feel like I’m coming out of the dark night of the soul and feeling joy again…thankful…🎉

I am up to my 8th taxol treatment….i still have my eye brows and lashes and some of my hair….the symptoms have been pretty minimal with the exception last week of food not tasting so great and very dry mouth…..I have been using mouthwash with salivary enzymes helping so much…..and eating pineapple for dry mouth has helped a lot…..I’m almost at the finish line….i found the fear of treatment to be far worse than the treatment itself….stay well

Hi Dana, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed. Amen. The hair loss was traumatic for me. I just finished 6 rds of chemo for st3c endometrial cancer. Rd. 5 and 6 were tough. The fatigue is depressing to me. My head says do this, do that my body says exhaustion. I am almost 83 so I am trying not to be so hard on myself but I do feel like a slug. I do one major thing in the morning than I am wiped out for the day. This too shall pass. God bless you.❤

I too had no reaction but, after day 3 to 6 felt yucky. Finished chemo...6 rounds...extreme fatigue which really gets to me but if this is what will get me better, so be. Onto radiation and immunotherapy. God bless you.❤.

Hi Dana…sorry to hear about your diagnosis….i am up to treatment 5 of my Her2 positive stage 1 diagnosis….i just shaved my head today and got a beautiful wig…..this has been harder than the treatment. I am also dealing with stage 3 melanoma so it’s been a really hard two years. God bless you on your journey….they have fake eye brow tattoos on Amazon…very cheap and look so good. Also, try the magnetic lashes….

Hey my friend who lost her hair found some days her scalp was too sensitive for wigs and she loved her hair wraps some friends from Kenya showed her how to tie. She showed me once and it was so cool. I can’t remember now but maybe someone can help!

Thank You for sharing your struggle with your decision making. I also had to struggle with that same decision 23 years ago and thankfully I did not have to worry about any judgements people might make. I do not know how one goes through life’s difficulties without God …HE WILL be with you!
