    Removing the seats from the beginning makes life one heck of a lot easier when interiors are that bad, and a lot more thorough job can be done from the start. I'm not criticizing your work at all, just saying that's what I do and man is it easier... ALL the way around. Makes the job faster too. Anyway, nice job... nice vid!

    • @carease
      @carease Před 2 lety

      Thanks for the support. I've removed seats before and yes it does make it easier to clean which is a pro but there are some definite cons to removing seats as well. There is a risk to break plastic covers while removing to get to bolts. The wiring underneath sometimes can be a pain to unplug on power seats. Then I've heard that once safety bolts are removed from seats, they should be replaced. This is probably the main reason I don't remove seats, it's a safety hazard. I have come up with tons of tricks to clean thoroughly with seats intact. I highly recommend the use of an air compressor and a high pressure steamer like the Vapor Rino to clean those hard to reach areas.

    • @966alexa
      @966alexa Před rokem

      @@careaseGuy has a point, on VW at least it's really easy to get seats out. No plastic covers to snap, just unbolt it, wiring connectors can't be more user friendly as cars go and that bolts replacement thing is BS, bolts are usually replaced because of shear due to high torque like on your engine block but these are seats not flywheel torqued. I've done my share of detailing cars with seats in and man the back pain in the end of day was let's say noticeable. Also i'm not hating just sharing experience.

    Wash the wheels first, then the tires..Sweet SL! You'll spend more time and effort doing the shoes first. When washing a car last you have more time to wipe, wax, polish and dry the car sort of pampering it. Doing the dirty work first , than enjoy the easy work last. Just my opinion

      Have a professional give it a deep clean and hopefully protect all surfaces. Then just focus on maintaining it from there. Just two hours a month with a shop vac and a handful of microfiber towels will do the trick. Also an air compressor is handy to thoroughly vacuum out the car. It helps blow out cracks and crevices giving you a nice finished look. 👍
