1000 Lakes Rally 1991 - Hannu Mikkola rolls
Finnish commentary. Jammed power steering pump was the reason according to Mikkola. I thought this tape was lost or atleast taped over (actually it was partially taped over with very lame music videos /_\ ) but managed to save something from the end of the tape.

Lancia uses the old 037 because, according to Alen, it's easy to repair and the Delta S4 hasn't been tested for this kind of rally.

3:29 The stage #23 is called "painaa". It means "to push". And the commentator Matti Kyllönen of course used that awkward transition to make a limping joke of it, like "Timo Salonen pushes there on the stage" 😀

One other question. Why is the 037 Lancia Rally vs Lancia Martini? Were alcohol manufacturers banned from advertising in Finland?
Yes the same thing happened with the Delta S4. But there is one strange thing years later the Delta integrale had the official livery (1992 for example)
Evereting is banned in finland, too much bureaucracy
Back in those days it was only legal to advertise very mild beer so if they bought a banner in an ice hockey arena or similar they always had to specify "Mieto Olut I", i.e. "mild class I beer" under the logo. Otherwise some would have thought they were advertising the class III beer which had more alcohol but had the same logo.

Looking the front damage on that lancia it’s clear shock absorber technology and suspension travel have both changed somewhat
Your logic would make sense if all cars had same damage. What this one instance actually shows is how that car was set on too soft suspension

I was there!! Just remember, Before the start of the special stage, a drunk fellow took place after a jump, transversal to the road...safety personnel took him away....I was very impressed by the speed the drivers drove, they were rally crazy!!!!
