Old Toyota Road Trip LA to Medford AE86 TE72 3sge Beams
Me and Jason drive from Los Angeles, CA to Medford, OR. It was originally 700 miles and 11 hours but with multiple mishaps and breakdowns it ends up taking up 18 hours. 18 hours in a terrible old Toyota is pretty grueling but we eventually made it. We head up to Dingus vineyards to work on my new cars and prep out drift cars for Panic Grand Prix.

Adjusting my idle, data logging and tuning. Cleaning up some odds and ends on this never ending projects getting it ready for a road trip to Oregon. It’s hard to drive and record, next time I’ll get some better clips in car.

Let’s say in the end, just buy some headers. I had lots of fun with this project, it was like a puzzle. The further I got into it the easier it was. Anyways just buy some surfab or dreammaker headers for your Beams.

All was going good as we prepared the car for the dyno. Unfortunately we took a turn for the worst. At least we cleaned up some odd and ends.
3SGE Beams with S62 ITBs LINK ECU part 2 Toyota Corolla KE70 TE72

We sort out the wiring loom and wire this sucker up. We unlock the ECU, make the TPS adapter, load up the base map from GENE and start this sucker up! We also place in the injector Bung plugs, crack the ITBS and welded them. After a little touch up paint in the engine bay, this car is ready to rock. Still some odds and ended to figure out so that means more parts to the series.

We got invited to drift at Willow Springs in Rosamond CA to film and anti street racing campaign with Motor Gospel. Not a lot of laps turned but I was satisfied with the way the car performed and not a lot of damage was done. (Plus it was super hot). Haven’t drifted in this car at balcony since top drift 2016, only difference was I had NOS at the time and no front sway bar. Car feel pretty good...

When I went to El Salvador I saw all the old school cars had these on their cars. I purchased a set for my car with no instructions and here I am installing them today. I didn’t drive this day as I had 2 sessions on my first day. Smooth day as ended up mounting Walmart tires on the car and lost 4th gear. Slight contact at the end but with some camber correction and fender rolling we ended up 6th in out class and 40th over all. We also go a cool looking trophy for being chill dudes. Day 1 was non stop action. This was Andy /Vlog dogs first time road racing (wheel to wheel also lol). 45 minutes for my first stint u till I got black flagged for crossing the blendline. Cool work on making the header or taking it to that level and making your own. Also glad you re-checked compression and did a leakdown. The numbers may seem low but at least they are close cylinder to cylinder. Curious if you drop some oil in the cylinder if the compression comes up. If it does then most likely the rings are wearing or worn but seems the motor is still running so run it til it goes.

TA came with a T series engine like 2tc or 2tg. RA came with a r series engine like 18/20/22r
