these were the original runs of the adimatic retros, the closest thing you can find to this now is the one with the semi traslucent smoke grey outsole. A heat gun is useful to stretch out the tight areas
agreed, me being smart tried to microwave these ala-breaking skate shoes in and ended up semi melting the plastic parts haha. Should've thought of the heat gun method.

@@juancruz-jg5pq to me, i think they run TTS, I dont feel my toes on the edge that closely but they do fit more like a US9 Muska rather than a US9.5 muska. Can check out the Muska shoe reviews on my channel too!

Man i have a pair of circa al50 but i cant even use them because the shoelaces are way too long and i dont know where to put them and its uncomfortable to use with them
switch out the laces with shorter ones perhaps? hope that helps!

How Is the fitting?
the fit is exactly like an adidas forum for a close example, they are a bit more wider in the toe and width in the midfoot is comfortable not too tight too loose.

I haven't had a pair of DCs in forever dude. Those look like they would skate so good
built quite similarly to the 1st Kalis pro model, so yeah they definitely do feel like they would skate good. I can't remember the name off of the top of my head but there's a german skater on Instagram that shows his Lynxs, Kalis 1s and 2s after being skated heavy and he did say that these lasted a solid 3-4 months before they started going through the toe cap.

Back in the day in my area DVS were known as the 'good cheap shoes' because they would cost 30 bucks in the local skate shop whereas eS or Emerica ect. would be 60. I haven't had DVS in the days but I like them, solid shoes
definitely built with quality like how i remembered them being back in the early 2000s. The new models like the Tycho and Devious are also not too bad, throwing it back to the early design styles of the brand.

I was mad hesitant to get these because of the price but I said what the hell I've got the Shorty's Muska silhouette board (my first deck I ever got as a kid) on my bedroom wall and he used these shoes in his Fullfill The Dream part my favorite Muska video part so I should get a pair (I got the black/red ones)
yes having the silhouette board with the grey muskas are a must for a steezy frontside flip. the price is slightly on the higher side yes, but for nostalgia and a hella durable shoe (based on today's standards) it's well worth it

I've got a pair of cx201 which I guess were the inspiration for the Mark Appleyard pro model that came later. I like the look of c1rca shoes and it brings back memories of my jr. high days, I had the muskas back then that look like boots
the CX201s were a really really sick looking shoe, the debossed tpr underlays near the ollie area/toe area of the shoe definitely made it stand out from the rest on the shoe wall.
I hope someday i can have that kind of skate shoe..

I think like you stated in this video every skater has had at least one pair of Es Accels at some point, it's sort of a right of passage as a skater to have skated these. Very basic but clean design. Laces break apart in 2 seconds but damn do they skate good
the eS Accel was the "just right" kinda shoe in between puff and mid puff, and boardfeel and impact protection. It's a timeless shoe and I hope they keep it in the Soletech rotation. To me it's kinda like the air force 1 of skateboarding shoes.
I like this colorway the most but dang that 150 dollar price tag is expensive for a pair of kicks
agreed, cash rules everything around me mayne, but in all fairness they kept these as close to the OGs as possible and us 90s kids are more than happy to skate a pair of Muska's that wont crack and crumble on us. Especially buying these in Malaysia there's no way that they're ever hitting the sales rack with limited pairs being brought in to Zone 5 (our local Sole Tech distro) and them flying off the shelves with every single drop.
My gripe with this shoe is the outsole is too different from the original same with the reissue they did of the k2 recently. Look at the Creager which I have and it's 1 to 1 to the original shoe
agreed, i felt that they could only half ass this reissue to avoid any legal issues with koston but they could've at least re-engineered the outsole to have the EK01-like outsole to keep it as true to form as possible. after two koston retros, im wondering how they'll go about the Koston 3 or if they'll just keep pushing the marketing of the eS Evant

yeah the ODS' were hella nice visually and performance wise, never had a pair but the older guys that skated with me loved 'em. The SAG system and clothing line was hella fire too

if you have a high arch you should go up a full size in these, low arches can go true to size with these

You have to reduce the height of the bottom bushing to the same size as the original from independent, if you don’t do that, the geometry of the trucks will not work properly

these were the only size available online when i purchased them (i blame myself for waking up late to buy these). They did eventually restock in my size around mid-2021 but didn't have much moolah to recop them (in my size then). that being said, this pair being a size us10 fits me nicely, albeit with heel slippage if I don't tie them to the top lace loop. hope that helps!
