You can change the AOE function in your file, BALDUR.LUA. It's probably located in your Documents folder where your Baldur's Gate game places your save files and your character files. Find the line that looks like this: SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','Show AOE','1') It's normally a '0' but you want to set it to '1'

@@kkbaby30 Bro, I've been playing this game for so many years by now and I never even heard about this. I just changed this setting and it's so cool to be able to see the AoE of the spells. Lol, wish I knew this when I was first starting. At this point it's a cosmetic thing, you get the hang of firing spells properly after awhile, but still, it's pretty cool! Thanks man! BG3 has some tie-ins with a really famous character from the BG1 & BG2 lore and it will have somethings to do with the Bhaalspawn, as well. I hope you're enjoying it and I hope you try some modded BG1 & 2 in the future. It really breathes new life into some classics!

It's a great class, actually, I was just venting a bit because of the limitations of spell choices leaves you always regretting the spells you chose. If I'm going to play a mage, I do think Dragon Disciple is probably tied with Wild Mage because of the innate fire resistance and extra 20 Health. If I could trust myself to play a Wild Mage, I think that may be the best overall, but I doubt I'll ever do it. It's just too risky!

I haven't played DA:I since 2015, but as I remember, the armor you wear can have Runes inserted to heal a % when you kill an enemy. Since my grenades were already on the ground, the enemies died walking into them, thus healing me. It was a really cool moment.
