Hi Eric, does the bloom last long for this rose, how do you compare it with summer romance rose? Thank you 😊
@@phamdangvu Hi, this one lasts pretty long. The flowers are beautiful and huge and the colour keeps changing by the time. As my opinion the flowers of Bliss are better than Summer romance regarding colour and form. But don’t get me wrong! Summer romance is not far behind, additionally SR has very strong fragrance, the flowers bloom in the cluster. Very vigorous rose.
Hi Eric, may I ask how long does the bloom usually last on Koko Loko rose? thank you
@@phamdangvu Hi, Koko Loko is unique and beautiful, the flowers however don’t last long, usually just only 2-3 days in my climate (PNW). Koko Loko is also have black spot if you are living in high humidity area as well. Hope that helps!
Today I bought bliss rose 3 gallon pot at Lowe’s clearance rack! Beautiful rose, I do have Moonlight in paries , scenteous , princess charlen bliss perfuma , all are similar color,
@@SowmyaHegde-gk8xu you have a great collection. Even they have the same colour pattern, but the flower form and the habit, the repeat and the fragrance are totally different. I am sure you will enjoy all of them!
Where did you purchase angels delight from?
@@Therosecollector80 Angels delight is a Canadian bred rose. And it was bought from Select roses - BC - Canada where was also hybridizing this rose.
He person here is mute. Says nothing 🤣🤣
What is the name of purple rose at the back?
@@worthwhileplaylist2147 that’s Quick Silver Climbing rose from Kordes!
Beautiful as always. I have a question. Does your garden have a drip irrigation system installed. If so do you recommend and does it helps in maintaining a healthy environment for your plants.
Thank you for your compliment! Yes, my garden has drip irrigation system, and all I can say it is definitely game changer, saving your time, your water bill, helping the plants growing better because the water goes slowly and deeply down to the root system and also I can mix soluble fertilizer into my drip system as well, highly recommend for any gardens

Hola están bonito las rosas
So pretty! How old is this?
Thank you! This video was in 2022, so it was 2 year-old plant at that time
Beautiful ❤❤
Thanks so much!
Beautiful
Thank you!
Your peonies are extremely beautiful!
Thanks so much!
How are they so upright?
This one is pretty tall in my garden, usually will be floppy if it rains!
Beautiful ❤️❤️🌹🌹
Thank you!
Do you have it in a pot or a ground?
It has been in very big cedar container (24”x24”x24”) in 5 years and seems happy with that!
Trained immaculately. Lovely. It puts mine to shame but lovely to see how it should be done.
Thanks JJ, this one is easy grower in my garden, as long as you just top-dress with a good amount of compost in Spring, then it’s good to go for the entire season!
Beautiful Roses👍❤🌹
Muy bonitas flores
Does anyone know how this compares to Louis Clements?
Sorry, I don’t have Louis Clements to compare with this one
Thank you. Great video. Really enjoyed it and learned alot.
My pleasure to share. Thank you for watching!
Beautiful roses! I am trying to get a scentuous rose after watching your video. How big does yours get?
The plant size is about 3’x2.5’. Sometimes it’s a little bit bigger!
@@smallbackyardfun Thank you! It is perfect size for the spot I have on mind!
Lovely - I like the way you place the colors - very pleasing and they blend well. Nice to see them growing in pots so well. You are showing people that don't have large yards another way to enjoy roses. Thank you!!
Thanks for your watching and compliment. It is my pleasure to show and share. Glad that you enjoyed my garden!
As always, Absolutely beautiful. You have inspired me to add Peonies to my garden. They are truly beautiful ❤️❤️
Thank you! I always have a spot in my heart for peonies. They are not just like roses which have a long season of beautiful blooming. Peonies just bloom once but totally they are on their glory for their moment. So I take that to exchange a whole year for one time shining. On the other hand peonies always bloom very early in the season. When roses and the other flowers are still developing their buds. Please add peonies in your garden, you won’t regret for that!
Your garden is so beautiful 🌸🌱🌹👍
Thank you for your compliment!
I love everything! Your garden is magnificent!
Thank you for your compliment! Much appreciated!
Hello! You’ve got a lot of jewels in your garden, they are neatly arranged and create a serene atmosphere as I’m watching this video. My garden in April was lovely. Thanks for sharing!🌹🐝
Hi there! Thanks so much for your compliment! Much appreciated! I ‘ve been trying to plant a lot of bloomers in my garden to extend as long as I could for my blooming season here in our climate zone. That’s why I always grow a lot of varieties. I also have deeply passion on peonies and roses as well. Again thanks for watching!
Wow! A garden full of wonderful Peonies, they almost looked like roses. Thanks for sharing, I’ve got about 4 pieces in the garden and only two have flowers. I must have planted them too deep. 🌹🐝
Thank you! Peonies are one of my gardening passion. I am always spellbound by all kind of peonies. And moreover, peonies always have very early blooms in our climate zone. Regarding your peonies, please try to plant them in sunny locations (at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight) with well-drained soil. With herbaceous and itoh peonies the top of their crowns have to be not deeper than 2 inches. For tree peonies you have to do oppositely, to plant deep to encourage they develop their own roots. Hope that helps!
Gorgeous peony collection!
Sužavėjo jūsų bijūnų kolekcija - visi tokie originalūs ir, tiesiog, nepaprasto grožio🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! I am have a passion with peonies generally beside roses. I always wish if I ever had a bigger land I would use a big part of this land just only for my peony collection.
♥♥♥
Thank you!
Koks neįprastas ir labai gražus bijūnas
I know a lot of people just like fully double peonies but not myself, I love all kinds of peony forms. Sometimes single form is the best one, because it shows the simplicity, proportion of the beauty. Salmon Dream is one of this kind!

Hi Eric, we have a peony. Potted. For last few years it gives us the most lovely flower. That’s one flower :) yours are lovely there my friend
Hi JJ, thanks my friend, we have colder climate than yours, so in order to have some nice blooms of this time of the year then nothing can beat peonies, peonies is one of the best flowers in Spring, and unfortunately they just bloom once per year. After peony season we will keep going with roses for our blooming parade. I just have a look up your garden now, gorgeous blooming season my friend!
@@smallbackyardfun no I meant our peonie gives us just one flower! One stem and one flower, I will try and show you next video. ;) cheers mate
@@Jay_Jay no worries :), I got what you mean, BTW if you try to plant your peony in ground with sunny spot, I guarantee it will give you bunches of flowers
@smallbackyardfun you have a beautiful garden. May I ask, what fertilizer do you use on the peonies?
Hi, thanks for your compliment! Peonies are kind of easy growing plants, as long as you provide them with sunny locations, well-drained soil, so they should be fine. For fertilizing I just do once or twice per year, first time in early spring with bulb fertilizer or anything with NPK following this formula, 4-8-8, 5-10-10…at the second one is in late fall when they are going for their dormancy, this time I will go with bone meal. Even some year I skipped spring fertilizing and just did one time per year in fall, and they were good as well.

How you protect at them at night?
I don’t protect any roses at night or in winter. But may I ask why you need to protect them at night time? I understand when you protect them in winter but at night, I don’t get it!

Can you give me the address of this farm , please
5690 Brooklake Rd NE, Salem, Oregon
I think I am in love with your peony. It's even prettier than the photos of the peony farmer's websites suggest. Weird question though, do you remember whether it rained that week while filming those flowers? Does this particular peony get brown spots after rainfall?
Thanks for your compliment! Much appreciated! I don’t think there was a rain before filming. Normally the rain would beat the petals up, and make the flowers drooping down due to its massive size. I ‘ve never seen this peony gets brown spots after rain even my area is rain country (PNW). But the rain will ruin the flower season for sure
@@smallbackyardfun Thank you for your quick answer! While rain ruins the flower season for sure, it amazes me how different peonies (or roses) might react to the same rainfall. Some will look untouched, some will lose all their petals, and some will carry out as if nothing happened. I went to visit a peony nursery a few weeks ago, and seeing two plants next to each other holding themselves completely different after some rain blew my mind. I am definitely keeping Shimano Fuji on my garden wishlist though, I must repeat, so pretty 😍 I wish you a lot of viewing pleasure this year as well ❤️
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you!
How many weeks are your peonies in bloom before they start to fade & loose their petals?
If you’re asking just only single one blooming then I would say about 7 days-10 days from the point they open the buds until the petals scattered. If you’re asking all the peony season in my garden then I would say I have typically 6 weeks-8 weeks of all peonies blooming. Usually the first one is around middle to the third week of April and the last one is around the second week of June.
What growing zone and state do you reside in?
I am in British Columbia - Canada, zone 7b-8a
Lovely cottage garden🌷😊
Thanks so much!
