Okay, so here's my latest obsession from the show Castle (10pm Mondays on ABC :)
When I finally finished all of the seasons, this song instantly came into my head. It is perfect for Caskett because A) Castle is a writer and B) There's that whole dance of tension, untimely circumstances and "should we's" before the couple decides they need to give the relationship a try.

I think it is pretty good - but I don't think it even nearly equals the hit by one hit wonder by Dexy's Midnight Runners back in the 80s which was out for maybe a week before it reached #1 on the charts. The video or the song. It had a specific subject - the angst filled lyrics are about - Irish Catholic girls don't and Irish Catholic boys want badly - it's about repression. There is angst. Not only is Kevin Rowland's voice better for rock - but in particular his vocals portrayed the angst heard in the lyrics. And it worked well in bars - it was probably most picked on the juke box for a long time. And everyone would be singing and dancing. The girls here have nice voices - but it's a pop song and it's girls saying come on Eileen? I don't think anyone in audience is singing along or dancing.
