@@rockagreenlife I mostly collect alexandrite and pearl jewelry as an adult, but I have an opal promise ring, so I had to learn how to care for it. Jewelry is a lot like clothing, and the stones like fabric - you can throw cotton t-shirts in the wash generally, but even drops of water can ruin the dye on a nice silk scarf. I know you mean well, but suggesting folks throw all their jewelry in a hydrogen peroxide soak is like stuffing all your clothes into a washing machine regardless of care instructions. There are different kinds of opals - some opals are actually fused layers (called doublets or triplets) and the layers can separate and become cloudy. Some opals are dyed, and hydrogen peroxide will bleach the color out. For that reason, hydrogen peroxide is part of many teeth bleaching solutions and DIY plastic color restorations. Search for "Update on dyed hydrophane Opals" from GIA to see a picture of what happens to dyed opals. Also, opals are very soft compared to other stones, about the same as glass. It isn't a great idea to dump it in with other much harder stones that could scratch it. Depending on the strength and pressure of the water pick, it could loosen stone settings, force loose stones out of their settings, and damage softer gems. Generally, it's better to just not risk the hydrogen peroxide soak when you can just use a mild soap and water mixture, and use a cloth or use a very soft toothbrush if you need to loosen dirt. If your opals are undyed and solid and not dumped in a big batch of harder stones, they may be fine for short hydrogen peroxide baths, but someone else's dyed triplet opal jewelry could be irreversibly damaged. As a DIY, a universal hydrogen peroxide soak with a high pressure water cleaning is a bad recommendation. Heaven help someone's poor pearls. No one wants to lose a beautiful and probably expensive stone from such an innocent mistake and you seem like a nice person who wants to help folks so I think you wouldn't want to feel guilty for contributing to that loss. Personally, I carefully wipe down my pearls with a damp cloth (avoiding wetting the silk they are strung on so they don't stretch), and I gently clean my other stones and metals with a super soft baby toothbrush when I need to get residue from inside the settings - that, and avoiding the daily chemicals and activities that could damage them - has always worked for me.

I really like the taste. It’s a very unique. Like a combination from pear and Banana. It’s definitely sweet.

I never tried it otherwise but it’s very smooth after blending that’s what I love about it. ☺️
