➡️ Yes, I know this remaster is a little too bright. I don't usually make things this bright, but I had to do it for this EP to mask and shift the focus of the listener from the artifacts of lossy encoding that were present in the original audio.
❓What I did❓
➡️ My main focus was the instrumentation and vocals, everything I did was to make the instrumental and vocals sound more musical, and as a result, side-effects of processing I did for the improvement of instrumentation and vocals reflected on the sound and frequency balance of the whole mix which means that many compromises had to be made. I hope I made sense.
*In my opinion, this EP would have benefitted immensely from re-mixing, with special focus on re-mixing of the instrumentation to bring out the liveliness and emotion of the instrumentation that's absent in currently available official mixes of songs on "Of June" EP.
"I could only do so much with the officially available mastered files I had access to. Limitations were there."

Copyright belongs to respective copyright owners. They can, and they should rightfully monetize this video on their behalf and get Ad revenue paid to themselves. In exchange, I get permission to use their content, Ads are shown on my video, but the substantial Ad revenue is paid to artists and copyright owners, and the 'visibility' of my video doesn't get 'blocked'.
This unofficial remaster has been posted on my personal 'CZcams' channel only for demonstration purposes while promoting at the same time the music of this band/artist. I love this album so much! This is the one and only time autotune is actually beautiful <3 It's like a robot with a beautiful pitch perfect voice. In a way its like autotune needed Adam Young.
I feel like he used something like Melodyne to manually tune his voice rather than having the computer doing it for him. Either way, I agree with you.

No, it was not possible. I had full mixes, that I had to do processing on. I didn't have multitracks or stems. But yes, I did try to control those vocals by applying strategical processing on the whole mix, while still making the final mixes sound bright to shift the focus of the listener from the artifacts of lossy encoding that were present in all of the official mixes. If I had not controlled the high end, then it'd have become hard to make the mixes sound bright, without them sounding extremely harsh and fatiguing. The final mixes you hear in the video are still bright and may sound a bit harsh, but they are not extremely harsh as they would have been, had I not controlled the high end, during the processing. As someone who leans towards bright, clean audio, this is a great remaster. I usually EQ the highs up when listening to this album so this is perfect. The spread and colour is marvelous.

This is amazing! I’m an early fan of Owl City as well (since about 2009). I tried remastering Fuzzy Blue Lights once with some of my own software but couldn’t quite separate the instrumentals and vocals to get a very good sound. I clicked only thinking I would listen to some of this and listen to the rest later but after the first few seconds I was hooked and finished the whole thing. Absolutely amazing work! You may be getting an email from me pretty soon. :)
Ugh I have goosebumps hearing all the instruments and synth patterns so clean. Just had to comment again; really beautiful rework of this older album. I’m so happy I found this 🥰
