This is one condescending A-hole. "One of my biggest priorities..." It literally is the LAST thing you need to do. Everyone knows that. Aviate Navigate Communicate. And after you have said I am going down here.... What now? So now they know.? And.... Your dealing with the shock of what just happened, getting control of the attitude of aircraft which is the only control you have, and the biggest one is picking where to land which was NOT what you were thinking about before the outage and you were NOT prepared for and you have a few options and trying to figure out which one is ACTUALLY going to work while peaking over your panel. Just a note... your doing all of that and the point you want to reinforce is "telling someone is one of your priorities...."
with G1000's there is no need for ipads and apps though

Why does the prop look like its changing direction
What I appreciate about these younger instructors is they typically don't do the old-school style of teaching where you insult and demean and scream at students. Much easier to learn when you can worry about learning.
Technically for VSD (around 19:00), that is not a 3D view but a 2D projection from the side. As you described, the top-down view is yet another 2D projection, but from above. Very cool, did not realize that was available. :)

Would it be possible to breakdown the steps in a little further detail as I am a Cirrus pilot as well. Thank you and please know that your videos help make me a better and more professional pilot. He can correct me if I’m wrong. But it seems to me they are adjusting their heading, to get an increased lateral distance from the Charlie airspace. Afterwards, she can direct her destination sooner, with less worry about clearance from the Charlie airspace they are avoiding.

Tell me about it. Ive done my private pilot in the middle of nowhere in Brazil, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE to navigate using those damn navlogs, just imagine farmland as far as the eye can see with ABSOLUTELY NO LANDMARKS of any sort. Now I'm glad Ive done it just to make me feel more calm if I ever get lost. Now I've moved to São Paulo and the airspace is so complicated and crowded its pretty much impossible to go arround without a GPS if you dont want to get a phone number for you to call but I've become notorious amongst my colleagues to be very good at it at least got me some bragging rights... One tip I can give people to make it extra challanging and good training while also making them a bit less of a pain to fill out is to not take into account any wind or TAS. It will always deviate just enough to make you work for your visual refference but if there is no crazy weird wind it should be perffectly doable and good enough. In Brazil most CFIS just flat out will not allow you to use a GPS ever, only in very complicated airspaces will schools allow you to use the GPS just to make sure you dont bust airspace because in some places its just not viable anymore to use the charts and control will deviate you all the time. Remember that when you are about 3 minutes away from your checkpoint you should be looking for it like crazy in a C152 and if you dont see it ahead it should be not that far out to your side unless the wind is crazy strong. If you dont see it by the time you calculated it it should be at your wings, if you dont see it at your wings just circle a bit because you must probably got some tailwind component and it should not be that far at all. It helps a lot not to think "where am I?" But "where is the checkpoint?" Because you know where the checkpoint is on the map 100% of the time, so look for the things that are near it, terrain, roads, anything of notice as opposed to looking for things that are near you on the map because you dont know where you are with that level of precision so you are going to take much longer to figure out where YOU are and THEN you will have to figure out where the checkpoint is anyway... Hope this helps.

Fwiw, I did my solo XC a few weeks back and did a paper nav log along with having my iPad as well. 15 min into the flight my iPad overheated and shut down. 🤷♂️ My nav log and paper map did just fine

Yoel, I also assumed that our bodies, specifically our lungs, are affected by density altitude (i.e. heat, humidity beyond simply altitude). But when I posted that assumption to a forum I was corrected by a biologist you indicated that the alveoli in our lungs compensate (to a large extent) for those factors. Such a good session. A great student and an excellent instructor. I have watched this video 4 times and get more out of it every time. Excellent and meaningful exercises.
Better yet, brief your expected taxi route before you ever start the engine. Then, confirm your assigned route again once received. The technique will carry over from a Cirrus to a Gulfstream to a 777.
This woman needs to shut up and listen to her instructor instead of her constant chatter. Speak only if you need pertinent information. Not my type of person who wants to learn. My opinion.

Hi, Yoel. I want to commend you on your instruction style with your flight students. I came across your channel about 6 weeks ago and look forward to your videos. Thank you for putting out the content that you do. I do learn from your videos, but honestly, I watch them more for the way you teach and praise your students. I want to be a CFI and run a flight school someday and I am going to incorporate what I learn from you to be an effective CFI and teach those on my team to be that way also. Keep doing what you are doing and I hope your channel grows as others discover what an excellent CFI is like.

Quite a lot of comments with a range of thoughts of Jennifer's ability and confidence. I've seen pilots with massive egos as well as instructors and examiners over the years and it brings the worst out of the pilot. As a female pilot myself I am confident this young lady will do well. She will improve with commands and expectations. She handles the plane well and instructor has clearly all the qualities of an excellent instructor. Other instructors would do well to observe what qualities he has they could possibly if not already adopt themselves. Well done Jennifer and thank you for the video
