my concern about this car is getting parts, especially body parts. Are they available or do you have to got to junk yards? Will gm dealers be able to service them with original parts or will toyota? Any owners care to share their experience?

On a 1996, if you have TPS code P0123 and a new TPS doesn't fix it, unplug the horn relay. If that clears the TPS code, replace the clock spring. It's a jeep thing 😂

I just changed the spark plugs and ignition coils on this Jeep Patriot with the same trouble code. The valve cover seal was leaking in cylinder 3 and 4. Time for a new valve cover

I have a 2007. We were in a serious accident in 2022. The insurance company totaled my car. I refused to let it go even though "Tuffy" had 225,000 miles on her. She had been a fantastic car for well over ten years. The pickup is incredible. So, I had the rear wheel axle replaced so I could drive her. No one - no one - wanted to work on the body - severe damage in the rear bumper. I have finally found someone willing to swap out her bumper. This is how much I loved this car. You can't go wrong with Pontiac Vibe.

I have 2004 ion 2. Bought it new. Has 114,000 miles. Had some kind of ignition issue at 95k. Cracked a valve. Cracked valve took out valve seat. The head doesn't have valve seats. So had to put a new head on it. I almost wrote it off. Can nearly purchase a car for the price of that repair. They replaced the timing chain when that happened. Didn't mention any other parts. Tensoner or guides. Did run quieter after all that. Less clicking. Oh, also got new spark plugs. They were really filthy. I didn't get to see them though. I replaced my arm rest with a thing from Saturn that didn't have the padded rest. Just a place to set some sun glasses. The rest kept getting in the way. Couldn't shift without hitting my elbow. My rear seat releases don't latch.

Shouldn't you be getting 12v on the side marker light with your tester?

I think you missed out on showing us the first half of the job. You cut up original pieces of your car and didn't show it. That's the part I'm most nervous about and want to see someone else do first before I do.

I need to change out the wishbone control arm in the rear. There is so much chattering in the rear when going over street cracks or bumps. So far changing out the front lower CA makes a big difference

I am fairly certain you Installed the fulcrum bolts and push rods wrong. After you install the rocker arm fulcrum bolt and pushrod you then turn the crankshaft until the lifter is all the way down then tighten the fulcrum bolt to the torque listed in the chapter's specification in two stages. You cant just instal the rods without moving the lifters that they sit in.

I think you installed the push rods in rock arms wrong.
