My best friend sold me in 2023 his GTX 1080 8gb for €120; he used it very few times. I had paired the GTX 1080 with my i7 4790k processor and a few months later with my Ryzen 5600g. Is the Ryzen 5600g okay with the GTX 1080? Would I be better off pairing the GTX with a Ryzen 5700x to play games in 1080p ?

I just upgraded from 7700k and while it is still a gem in like 75% of games anything new that utilizes more than 4 cores its a stuttering mess.
