It's a really interesting show when you think about it. It's set in the past but they're just teenagers at the end of the day, and have the same feelings as teenagers from the 21st century, so the modern references and the microphones reminds us of that. They could be modern-day teenagers just as easily.

Really wish I coulda seen this while running. I became aware of it when I saw that wonderful Transylvania Mania number on the Parade Thanksgiving 2007! I loved it, I even dare went as far as dubbing Roger Bart better than Gene Wilder! Both GREAT!

I really hope they make a movie out of this like they did with the musical version of The Producers.
