Hi I'm Duncan. My meagre claim to fame is that I wrote "Dunc's Algomusic", which Stuart Ashen used to make his "theme tune", and bizarrely that got me listed on IMDB.
Currently I'm enjoying recording solo battle reports of Grimdark Future - a tabletop wargame published by OnePageRules in which you get to play with your Warhammer 40K models without the headache of the 40K rules.

AoF: Quest - "Cleansing the Depths"
Chapter 3, Mission 1 in my Age of Fantasy: Quest campaign.
Vira, Horrit and Sveeble attempt a Clean Sweep of the flooded ruins of Nyth-Alorei.
Difficulty 2.
This time I used a manual wave rather than generated wave to give myself a water elemental sentry to fight.

After 2 failed attempts to adapt the Heroquest board (and 2 TPKs for my party), I decide to start a fresh Age of Fantasy: Quest campaign with new heroes. Those first games were... er... just practice runs, okay? Plus, the rules have recently been updated.
Coding Games with Claude 3.5: Level Design

Heavy rain could be rebranded as all the fighting, or some kind of light quake, causing dust a debris to fall from the ceiling.
Oh yeah. Thanks! Some of the random events say it affects models "in terrain" so that's something I need to adapt for dungeons (maybe "next to a wall").
Love the quest reports, very nicely done!
Very nice battle, thanks for sharing! 😃
This looks so like so much fun. Is this on drive thru RPG yet?
I don't think there is a paid version of Quest yet while it is still in beta testing, but I'm having a blast with just the free rules from the OPR website. You kind of need to use the website anyway to track the campaign and generate monster waves.
Hi! Great idea! From which game are the tiles you are using?
Hello, the tiles are from Shadows of Brimstone (from Flying Frog productions).
That was fun! Where does the quest come from? Is that part of the Age of Fantasy: Quest game?
Hi! The quests are randomly generated using the AoF: Quest "Campaign Builder" booklet.
With the standard rules saying you must get to your starting corner of the table to actually complete the quest, I think you should have to make it back to the dungeon entrance. With the awareness jumping up so high after completing the main objective it could make the escape rather exciting or harrowing. Not to mention the choice to keep exploring for the secondary objective with far more enemy spawns.
Yeah, I ended this one too early! I was still getting to grips with the rules.
I like that you're testing it out as a dungeon crawler. It's still in beta so I hope opr sees this and adds dungeon crawling to the rules. Personally I prefer this because I would rather be immediately playing than setting up a 4x4 table with terrain and objectives. Great stuff 😊👍
Thanks, more to come. I started a new campaign and the first two missions are in a "dwarven mine" so I'm using these tiles again.
Nice to watch!
Thank for sharing 🙏
You're welcome! How are things in Thailand?
@@marasmusine Thailand is a travel paradise.🥳
On a few occasions you used a Skill action for a character, then on the same activation performed another action. Made me go back and check - the rules I downloaded two weeks ago and have been playing with are missing the paragraph that says this can be done! Both are the same version number. I also noticed a few days ago that the enemy waves on difficulty 1 have gone from 50% party strength to 25%...no wonder my heroes were getting bashed up when I first started playing!
Oh yeah, the "Beginner's Guide" had that key piece of information missing! It was in the separate Core Rules book though so I spotted it.
What an awesome twist on the game! I plan to do an alternate mission where the heroes escape from a dungeon. They would start without equipment and with ailments. Main objective is find the exit and escape, but secondary would be find where their gear is stashed (and change their gear mid game) and maybe another would be find war plans in another room (retrival objective) and possibly an escort of another npc inmate they met in the starting cell (that might even join the party as a hero in later missions). As the map isn't revealed I would not deploy the enemies, instead, I would keep them on the side of the board and whenever the heroes reach a corner or open a door a new section is added (just like you did) I would likely follow a premade plan. Then I would use dices to determine how many of the enemies of the generated wave would appear in the new section and another roll to see where to place them. Feels like it would work well enough.
That was pretty intense! Cool idea using a dungeon
That's awesome, I was trying to figure out a way to use my dungeon tiles. Cheers!
why am i even doing in the uni bro i should buy claude pro and get a job thanks to it, it's incredible, this page can also make 3d games effortlessly
yup you can easily get a job if you use claude well enough. Its a tool just like a farmer still uses a tractor.. he doesnt do everything manually.
I think you need a background in coding to use LLMs as a coding aid, at the moment. Some of the code it makes is rudimentary or inefficient. The context window of the version of Claude I'm using on Poe also has a small-ish context window so it would be difficult to make large pieces of software -- although there are versions of Claude available with a 1 million+ token window.
Damn even the first request is really good. Pretty impressive
why should we watch how AI do programming? what is your role here?

More like Age of Fantasy Chaos Sorcerer. 😁
I'll try and have him painted for next time, I might want to try the classic Heroquest board at some point.
@@marasmusine I’d love to see that!
I think it would (without trying it mind you), add a nice layer to AoF:Quest. Have the normal skirmish type mode and then discover a dungeon and have a little explore.
This is amazing! SoB is my favorite board game dungeon crawl.
You gotta love advanced lawnmower simulator, gotta be one of the best games out there
Dungeon-crawl seems messy 🤔
Yeah... I'm working on it. I will try the normal skirmish mode soon though.
"Hello I'm liam Non-binary furry (Yippee!!)"
Looks good! I wish the heroes started out with higher quality. Just feels like they are bowling for 6's.
It seems a bit rough but the extra attack dice helps, and hitting level 4 (the first +Quality) is bound to feel good.
Man that looks sick. So this is all in AOF Quest? I never played a dungeon crawler before.
Heya! The normal Quest set up is a skirmish format, you set up terrain like you would with Age of Fantasy: Skirmish. The only thing I changed was adding the Shadows of Brimstone dungeon tiles + map deck! You could potentially use any dungeon tiles you have, I will be experimenting with HeroQuest, Advanced Heroquest, some D&D boardgames like Wrath of Ashardalon, and the tiles from the D&D Miniatures game.
Super cute channel
Lessons I learned after this recording: * Turn off camera autofocus * Turn on continuous camera flash for better lightig * Get a dice tray * Tighten up editing 🎥
Nice BatRep! Keep at it! Subbed.

@@marasmusine thank you.
Great batlee also, 5 ones in 6 shoots? WOOW, great job in the Elf raiders I love the purple armor.
Thanks! Not sure what to do when I repaint the skimmers and Talos, since contrast paint doesn't work as well on flat plates.
I edited out a comment I had about the razor caltrops on the jetbike. I'm not sure how useful this upgrade is, especially as it _replaces_ the CCW. It grants impact (2), which is only useful if the jetbikes are doing the charging. That's not something they want to be doing, since they just have 1 CCW each and plenty of ranged attacks. Now if _all_ the jetbikes could have the razor caltrops then we're talking impact (6) for 3 bikes which is more tasty.

Hi, yes, you can add .ogg files (or replace the existing oggs) to the subfolders in the AUDIO folder. It's got to be .ogg, as Gamemaker doesn't support other file formats.
Thank you.
