Im abt to build mine but why does the mount have to be diagonal??
The rear of the motor has to be higher so that the chain will not interfere with the swingarm. I made a guide on how to build these that explains more.

What oil pan did you use?
This one has a holley on it. It doesn't NEED it but it helps with ground clearance. Any ls 302 pan will work, or stock pan even

Awesome brother!!!! She sounds good!!! I am doing my first swap. Not my first engine tho. Ls3 in 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Ls3 cause a block fell in my lap for $500. I was going for a 6.0. The 6L90 I bought is junk. So I am going with 6L80 or a manual. I already have a harness but I may get another and go with a 4L80. Not sure yet. It is a project with my grandkids. I have a ways to go. I got the block done with a BTR Ls3 Stage 2 V2 cam. I need to have the 821 Ls3 heads done. I have been playing with RCs waiting on parts lol.
What size rear sprocket you running if you don’t mind me asking bud?
It's the stock rear sprocket. As far as tooth count I'd have to check. Then we do 40 or 41 chain with the bigger sprocket that comes with the torque converter

Got a 78 that came with a 305 and automatic. Changed it over to four speed and hopped up 350. Got everything from junkyards. You guys do beautiful work. ❤

Please tell me how did you get the oil pan to clear and line up with the engine mounts. I’m having the same trouble
Used factory small block clam shell upper mounts, had to move the brake line a few inches down and massaged the front of the pan with map gas, hammer and a piece of 2" pipe. There's a short of him doing it on this channel.
What size sprockets and chain are you using?
#40. Bigger one that comes with the torque converter and stock one on the axle.

On this one it was a knock off 22mm mikuni. With a 120 jet

Massaged it a little with a pipe and a hammer. And moved a brake line.

How long was that chain? Would a 140 link be plenty enough for what id need?
i got the cvt set up got a 420 chain its like it doesnt fit the rear sprocket how did u get it to work?
We use a #40 or #41 chain.
