Just because you can do something with a computer, doesn't mean it's a good idea.Cars used to have no computers at all. Solution? Rip out all the wiring and get a street rod wiring harness. Eliminate all the auto-crap. Switches and cables worked just fine.

Just get an old spray bottle with soapy water and spray it on the various connections looking for bubbles once you've pressurized the system

Just curious shouldn't you have pinched off the engine vacuum and the line running to the reservoir to narrow it down to the line it ended up being? Your gauge shouldn't have dropped because you still had engine vacuum when you blocked the reservoir. Regardless very helpful video thanks for taking the time to make it.

Very smart. In another life in service to a scientific laboratory we chased leaks in our oxygen,nitrogen argon or what ever gases which were piped into the laboratory. We used Mr Bubble children's bathing liquid .cit is semi stick and form bubbles which can be easily seen. We would dilute it ( don't recall the dilution ratio) with water and used a spray bottle. Worked great!

So. I have a 2007 Dodge Caravan. The RAP system does not stay on when I shut tge vehicle off. Also, my radio no longer works while driving. Could this be a relay issue or something else. The stereo is an aftermarket Sony deck which I've had for 20+ years. It worked fine but doesn't now since tge RAP system issues. Suggestions?

I didn't have that much trouble putting it in underneath my Dodge Dakota all you do is make sure your liver is all the way over to your passenger side when you hear it click then you can start taking it a loose and taking it down it should drop just like a baby a newborn

This happened to mine years ago, pretty bad sound that might make a guy think the bottom end is falling out of the engine! Can happen to any harmonic balancer that uses rubber, but seems a little more common on these.

What if you have no air flowing from the front vents at all? I don't notice any airflow on any fan setting, AC, heat, or defrost. Has it still defaulted to defrost? I have replaced the 3 AC fuses under the steering wheel, the blend door actuator relay, the blend door actuator, the blower motor, and the resistor. Still no air flow. 2001 excursion 7.3 2wd. Rear ac blows cold. No air flow at all to the front. I'm going to try this vacuum diagnosis and see what happens. Best video I've ever seen, great teacher.

Just recently had one that held vacuum perfectly. Held 125 psi perfectly. Leaked at 175 psi Never any dye anywhere. Heater hose makes a good stethoscope.
