Could you please telle me the diameter of the metallic tube ?
How to fix broken chain of roller blind with a fix palmet ? How to get to the area do I need to remove palmet first or I can still fix it with the palmet on. I appreciate your help .
Hello, you will firstly need to take our roller out of the Pelmet. If the roller is in a Pelmet 95, then it can come out just like any standard single roller as the brackets for the roller are within the pelmet :)
My slider has a long part to hang on to as you slide it right n left.thst sticks out as far as the window frame depth???
Thank you Michael!! :)
Super helpful video, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
All these chain repair videos start with removing the end of the roller blind but what if the roller blind is fixed tightly in an alcove and there's no space to pull it sideways. I'd like to see the process starting from when the roller blind is in situ.
Thank you so much Mike! We bought a house and moved in a few weeks ago, it really annoyed me that the so-called block-out blinds have a decent gap at the top that lets in the light. I kept thinking about it as it didn't make sense to me... so I searched how to install double blinds correctly and found your video. Clearly, whoever installed these blinds have put the blinds on back to front! The block-out blind is on the lower bracket behind the sunscreen blind... OMG!! Hubby and I will get to work today and change them all around and stop that pesky sun getting in through the gap. Yay! :)
How many times I’ve struggled with this and never bothered to look it up lol
Glad it helped
Was a shock receiving this new style lego kit after previously ordering plantation shutters from iseek.
Another useless video. Most blinds are stuck up on the window and attached to mounting. You can’t just ‘pull the entire blind off and pull off the end ‘. Why do you ‘experts’ never show how to replace a chain to a blind in situ?
Hi there, We’re sorry to hear you didn’t find the video helpful. We understand that not all blinds are easy to remove. We do have a video on how to take down a roller blind that might be useful for you. Each blind can be a bit different, but we're always here to help with your DIY projects. Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll work on making our guides even more comprehensive.
was this recorded on a smart fridge
GREAT ❤
Many thanks- this is the only video I've found that goes through how to install a motor into an ordinary blind. I bought some made by another company (sorry! but I'm in the UK so no hard feelings, I hope 😀) and their instructions are total rubbish. I now know what I'm doing.
Glad it helped :)
Thank you so much sir
Hi Mike- are these custom curtains ? is there a link that you can share with me? Trying to achieve this look for a client and have struggled in the past.

They are S fold sheers from Freedom! ❤ I did my entire house after watching this video!
If only they weren’t RF.
When measuring for a T-post I understand that it’s measuring from left to the middle of the post but I’m unsure of how to know where the T post would sit. For example, if it is 1780mm wide window and going 3 panels with 1 panel, T post and then 2 panels. Would I divide the 1780/3 to make each panel approx 590mm wide each and then measure left 590mm plus half a T-post width? I hope this make sense 😅
Hi Kat, With measuring a T post we recommend to measure from left to the middle of where the T post will be located. Some customers may have a vertical mullion to which they will line up this T post with to get this measurement. If you don't have a mullion to line it up and would like to have a 3 panel plantation shutter, you can also as you stated take your width and divide by the panels. But in this case please leave a note in the manufacturing notes that you would like x3 even panels and when we go to process the order we will confirm with you the exact measurements of all the x3 panels. If you are needing further assistance with measuring you can also book in online with a 1 on 1 video consultation to discuss this further via the following link iseekblinds.com.au/contact-us Or you are more than welcome to send us some images of the window to our sales@iseekblinds.com.au email and we would look forward to assisting you on your DIY journey. Thanks the Sales Team @ iSeekBlinds.
I already have set up automate roller blinds with remote last year. Now I want to buy a hub to connect to the app but not sure if the motors are compatible . How would I check the motors I have can connect to the hub?
Thank you for reaching out. If you have Automate branded Motors, then the Pulse 2 Hub will work as they are from the same manufacturer. An easy way to confirm your Motor brand/type, is to take down the roller & pull out the motor. You will then be able to check the branding on the motor :) Please do not hesitate to reach out to our office, if you have any further questions - sales@iseekblinds.com.au Thank you!
5 years later, still helping new people
Looks so easy when you do it but my joining link won't push onto the chain. Trying with pliers. Still no good. End chain ball keeps breaking off.
These look great. What a system. Do you know if these would integrate with Home Assistant or Apple HomeKit?
Thank you
Available in US?
No, sorry we only ship within Australia
Great video! I fixed my sons blind effortlessly with your help. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
Do these rails hold heavier curtains too?? 😊
It depends on your substructure. If it is just drywall (there is thinner and thicker drywall) not so much. But, if you are connected to Wood, Concrete, Metal, yes.
@@stevesilver3291 thank you for the reply. Yes concrete I think
Thank you from Scotland and from a complete novice DIY'er. Liked your video, big handsome guy.
Great video - doing this tomorrow and joining two tracks Thanks
Saved mate bought a new blind give it a tug and the chain dropped off LOL couldn't figure out how to get the bugger apart to put it back on you solved my issues . Thanks Aussie here :)
Thank you! 🎉
You’re welcome 😊
great advice thank you very clear to understand
Glad it was helpful!
how about if I have a "popcorn" ceiling? is it as easy? Do I need something different? It's a 70s building,
My roller blind is to tight to pull up,what do I do?
What side should the overlap panel be on
my Chain is cut. how to fix it?
my Chain is cut in the middle. how to fix it?
Chain fix for RollerBlind. In case you are here to reattach the chain for a Louvolite Shade System 40 clutch R3025, this is what you do Remove blind - steps to do this: - roll up blind (if you can with a little force, but not essential), push chain end in a direction it will move a little, usually up, push toward other end., it should now be detachable from chain end) Once removed, roll up blind if is not already Pull out mechanism on chain end from the roller tube - the whole chain enclosure mechanism should slide out - use a flathead screwdriver to ease out if necessary. Remove the plastic pin from point at the end, prise out with a small Phillips screwdriver in the hole if can't do manually Replace the chain - if it has a joiner the make sure it is placed close the mechanism on the side where the chain is chain is will drop down. Reverse process to refit. Note: the three lugs on the chain end should be faced upright, ensure blind is facing correct direction.
It worked. Thanks, Michael.
How do you measure the size for the chain replacement? What does drop size mean?
Hi @susibrown655, our chains are continuous loop which means there is no joining link. The size that you will see when ordering a chain is from 500mm to 2000mm. This size referred to the drop size of the chain which is measurement from the chain drive to the bottom of the chain. Ideally you want your chain drop to fall between your chest and belly button - this way it is not a safety issue for children - be sure to install a child safety device to secure the chain. Cheers Mike
How did you pre fit the brackets?
Hi, the brackets are spring loaded and easily clip onto the track. You do this by clipping the front of the bracket to the front of the curtain track and push down on the back - when you hear a click its firmly in position. Hope this helps.
Excellent video! I really want to motorize my blinds.
You should!
thanks, couldn't figure this out
Thanks for this it helped a lot!
Glad it helped!
Can you share the name of the packer/plaster anchor?
You cannot buy them but we supply them with our curtain tracks. Bunnings has a number of other options you could use like wall mates or hollow wall anchors.
Where do you get this anchor? Thanks

WHERE DO YOU GET THE SUPPLIES PLEASE?
Which supplies are you referring to?
This method obviously works great and looks very symmetrical but why no use of a stud finder to find the ceiling battens? Is it simply for the alternative spacing you suggest?
Hi with the wall anchors we supply and the multiple brackets across the width I always use the plaster anchors which are fine and hold 10 times the weight of the curtain. When mounting the track to a wall I am generally more selective about where I fit the brackets. Cheers Mike :)
@@iseekblinds thanks mate i appreciate the reply. I ended up going with anchors as you suggested and spacing them more evenly across the ceiling regardless of batten positions. I’ve also been using your method of poking through with a small screwdriver to feel behind wall spaces and all sorts of areas to make sure I’m not drilling into any wires or pipes.
