1:26, thats the nicest Volvomodel i have seen so far, the 164, if i know right. the face with that grill and the forms distinctly say Volvo. the dark green color suits to what that model is, straight and conservative classic, its made to suit that car. i like the white wall tires. those strange "hella" headlights look misplaced, i would remove them. there are round grills beside the headlights, what are those round grills for ? i think additional headlights would integrate better in the place where those round grills are and look cleaner, instead those strange "hella" things mounted on the bumper. did those "hella" things on the front bumper came originally from Volvo or did someone without a sense for aesthetics and neither a sense for design slapped them on there ?? i would have liked to see that Volvo stationwagon from the 70s, 240 or what the model number is, that looks nice too.

I almost bought one of these new in 1981. I didn't like the lack of a sunroof, otherwise I might have. There is still one of these in my town that I see occasionally. A beautiful, classy car!

Super Auto - die Felgen und der weiße Streifen sind erstmal gewöhnungsbedürftig, passen jedoch ganz gut. Erinnert etwas an den Film Training Day... ;-)
Tolle Optik, aber die Qualität: Oje Oje! Vom 780er braucht man 3 Stück: einen zum Fahren, einen zum Reparieren und einen als Ersatzteileträger.
Das stimmt nicht, regelmassig ins Garage, ja natürlich!
@@SybrenSingelsma Nix für mich: ich habe einen Volvo zum Fahren - 850 Limousine, ... inzwischen auch selten, aber unkaputtbar + extrem haltbar und zuverlässig.
Volvo ist kein Auto. Das ist ein Lebensgefühl.

I had the estate version in gold, it was very powerful and I could get big furniture in the back, I wasn't keen on the rear seats for carry extra kids !

Ein wunderbares Auto! Fahre einen 850 TDI Kombi und habe einen leider nicht fahrbereiten Volvo 480 S den ich irgendwann mal herriechten möchte, bin aber kein Mechaniker, bin aber regelmässig in der Schweiz! Liebe Grüsse aus Vorarlberg!

Definitely more classic Volvo's where you live in Europe than here in North America! Always like the 780 Bertone. They got it right when sold with the red block turbo four 2.3 here in USA.
There was a 262C Bertone this color in my town here in USA same color as this one, except it had the American spec 4 headlamp set. Stunning car, always liked the chopped roof!
