Ariana DeBose, Boy George feat. Nile Rodgers - Electric Energy (Ruud's Extended Edit)
Ariana Debose, Boy George and Nile Rodgers have teamed up for “Electric Energy,” the disco-infused bop featured in Matthew Vaughn’s “Argylle.”
Rodgers, who produced the track which plays over the film’s end credits, says he got a call from Vaughn asking if he wanted to be involved. As for the song’s retro disco vibe, Rodgers learned that Vaughn and the songwriting team (Gary Barlow, Stuart Price and Lorne Balfe) were inspired by Disco star Sylvester when writing the lyrics. He recalls, “I grew up back in the day gigging with Sylvester, so I knew right away where the vibe was coming from.”
I extended the song a bit.

Is this a Mica Paris cover. Because I’ve heard Mica sing this. But Shiela sounds amazing doing lead. It suits her. This should have been a huge hit. What happened ? I bet there were too many chefs in that kitchen, & too many fingers in the pie,which is usually the kiss of death. I can imagine the frenzy around Shiela doing a solo project and probably the over marketing that usual misses the mark in he chart or market place. They should have promoted this ground up instead of top down. Get DJ’S talking and spreading the news about this amazing tune by Shiela Ferguson & create a buzz. But I can imagine how it all went. Everyone at the top was more excited than DJ’S or RADIO. So they pushed Shiela as the x three degree member,which sounds like an old artist struggling to make a come back. Words matter a lot …so how you approach marketing a classic artist, needs handling with much more care & thought. Don’t just throw her out there with no weight behind her project. Which it looks as if that’s what they did.
Things would be different. People were young, people have died ( musicians, actors, and many more). It would be nice to bring back the 70's and 80's, but it wouldn' t be the same. You can' t bring back the ( dead). But remember only memories will live in our ( minds). The music never dies. The music of the 70' s and 80' s Wii live on for ever.😂🤗
