Man Greg Vinson just caused me to have an oh wow moment at the 1:32 or so mark. He described learning to use side and down imaging and how now we are in the live era. He mentioned that the viewing is the problem during live. I had never considered that in the past fans didn't see the hours and hours of scanning because it was done in practice. Now its done during the tournament as well as in practice. I mean i guess im stupid but that had never even clicked in my small brain.

I think that if it has set rules in which people compete. And it is for the entertainment of others, it's a sport.

People would pay to watch fishing and to go to the classic. Hell I pay to walk around and look at boats and campers at tv and boat shows. Yes bass fishing is a sport !!!!

Not physically exerting???? Try telling that to the guys who weight train, run, ice bath etc. vs those who don't and see who comes out better on the water.

Ok, I had forgotten I commented on this video, so first, thanks for the clarification on who caught what, when, and didn't get tagged a fraud, and thanks again from blakefoster6324 for the response as well. Now I have to ask, why was Fritz recognized in 1923 without fan fair, but now that we have modern technology, George is being investigated or if that's not the right word, "picked apart" for his 23 pounder? He did hail from Georgia, and no one was rabidly bass fishing in the 30's, so the possibility of nabbing a 20 pounder in 1934 was as possible as it was in 1923. My most pressing question, why did Guinness honor the fritz fish with no set of standards to work from? His was the first Bass ever recognized as being the biggest in the world, with no set of standards to work from. You don't think the rules committee sat down one day and said, "now if someone ever claims to have the biggest largemouth bass ever caught, here's how we will vet that catch." The way our world works today, even if someone catches a 29 pound bass on live television, weighs it on the one acceptable scale recognized by the planet as accurate, and has video proof it was caught legally according to rules, someone will play the A.I. cheat card and claim it was rigged. Just so George can stay on top. Either that or try to use the asterisk card like they did on Maris in 1961.

As a Texas bass fisherman I find it absolutely crazy the 22lb fish are considered the northern strain bass records. I cant imagine how the guys must feel that live in areas that have predominantly northern strain bass must feel about this. As far as the Florida strain record Kyle Hall holds Im sure it will be broken. So that will all come out in the wash. But basically the northern strain records are here to stay.

I like the show but letting guys ramble on about tourism and how they are good at their job is boring as hell. The topic was the schedule and as normal the shows wheels fall off because a guy wants to use the show as a look at me and look how great I am moment. I truly believe the numbers will go up in watch time if Ken makes these people stay on track. Just a thought and a little rant😂
