Motorized Lego Quick Coupler (MOC)
This is a random video I pulled from my camera roll dated 2022.
After seeing many pneumatic quick couplers I still hadn't found many or rather and compact RC ones that don't require pneumatics. so I set out to solve this problem. I worked out a solution using a small linear actuator powered by a CaDA micro motor. It wasn't perfect but it got the job done.

This video introduces you to a prototype/testbed for a MOC I'm working on. the end goal is a 1:10 scale fully RC off-road wrecker/rotator tow truck. It will eventually look much different than shown but this was a good test of some suspension prototypes I wanted to test. I also got to test out the new pneumatic parts sent to me by @GreenGeckoLegoTechnicWorkshop They have been modified to reduce...

Ayoooooo
Insane build!! Love it!
My bro, how is this at 197K views? Also, do you plan these vehicle projects in bricklink studio? Or do you just wing it and as you go you add or remove? Because that's what I do, I wing it baby

@@Bric_workshop perfect.
Looks like one of those old soviet military trucks that go into mud that's deep enough to reach the windshield but still make it out somehow.
Does the battery box that come with it Have speed steps Or did you Modify it?

Lego ideas
@@icefire3668 Lego would never make something like this
@Bric_workshop Yeah, it's sad too because they would get a lot of sales. It would be 400 to 500 dollars though.
@@icefire3668 the electronics alone are worth over a grand (2x Buwizz 3.0, 1 Buwizz 2.0, 4 Buwizz motors, and a handful of other motors.
I didnt even know metal lego existed 😂
Can you do a tutorial and partslist for this?
Nice lego
@@hung1986cali0 thank you
There’s a reason the real ones have chains around the tires. Still great tho!
@@siilomsupUTG yeah I've been looking into trying to get chains small enough for something like this. Maybe this upcoming winter
@@Bric_workshop ok!
I was going to say wait, that looks like Alaska. Then saw it was Canada. It’s close but not.

one of best mocs i have ever seen!
That would mean 5 motors?

can you make body for that
It looks really similar to the lego tech 42030. You could build this into that one
@@car-y3f yes this thing did get body work. Watch my community page. I'll put some there

Time to add double buwizz mod with modified battery
Hey man love the truck, i am working on a simmilar truck with independent Tatra suspension, the rear tandem axle uses almost the same mechanism with the pneumatic cylinder, but i am wondering how u regulate the pressure, i tried to make a auto shut off compressor for mine but i failed, are your pumps running all the time? Does your rear suspension get stiffer if you dont let any air out ? I would be glad if you take your time to answer my questions, thanks
@@huginobugino9142 thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I'll try to answer all your questions. First off the suspension on the truck isn't really like tatra as the rear axles are solid axles unlike in a tatra type where each wheel has its own independent linkage. None the less I'll answer your question. With regards to the air I do have an auto compressor unit but I ended up removing it in favor of doing it manually. These cylinders have been modified to be more efficient and don't leak as much. Also by hooking them up to an air tank it acts as a sort or reservoir so you don't need to refill as often. The pressure gauge on top allows me to easily check on the pressure. The pumps you see running are actually for the other air system which poweres the diff locks. The suspension has its own pump. (Usually I just use a hand pump piece to fill it manually before use. As pressure in the cylinder is increased the suspension gets stiffer. If I let all the air out it gets very limp. In this type of suspension the flexible linkage is usually a stiff bar I've added the pneumatics to allow for increased vertical travel/stability. I hope this makes sense. if not feel free to ask me for clarification. I can also send some pics and videos if it's of any help.
@@Bric_workshop thanks so much for taking your time and explaining this, i imagine you modified the cylinders by drilling the air vents to make them bigger and lubing them up, am i correct? and i would appreciate it if you would send me some pictures of the auto compressor. Thank you
@@huginobugino9142 I'm not sure I pictures of the auto compressor anymore. But yes the cylinders were modified like that plus lubricated for smoother movement. I got them made by @greengecko
it would be cool to put a cabin from Zetros or Mercedes Arocs and a crane installation with supports on this chassis, it would be an ideal all-terrain crane
