Whole Backyard is Now Covered With Golden Pothos!
A lot of people are requesting an update regarding my Golden Pothos Wall.
After a few months, my whole backyard wall is now covered with Golden Pothos.
From the floor to the top, the 9 foot+ wall is so lush!
The wall is 30 meters long!
The leaves on top are already reaching lengths of 3 feet or more!
It completes the natural forest feel of our backyard.
Wait until the end to see a top view of the whole wall, to see the golden leaves in all it's glory!
Enjoy the video!

An Update on my Successful Rubber Tree Propagation - Air Layering Method - Details on How to do it
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 3 lety
Here is an update on my successful rubber tree propagation. I used the air layering/marcotting method which is a sure way to establish roots before replanting the stem to a new pot. This makes it possible to replant a multi branched stem, which gives you a head start to a fuller rubber tree to begin with. Definitely a better idea than directly sticking a stem cutting to the soil without rooting...

Farm To Table - Sweet Potato Leaves (Kamote Tops) Tempura

Simon is back in the garden, harvesting Sweet Potato Leaves. This is one of the easiest edible plants you can grow! It grows fast with little care needed. Just snip a few that you would like to consume, and it will grow more stems and leaves again. He loves Tempura, but since we can't go to Japanese restaurants during this quarantine, and we don't want to have tempura delivered (cause it won't ...
Island Boys Aquascape - Long Planted Community Aquarium

One day, I brought my son to Ocean Park, he loved the fishes so much that he asked me if I can buy him an aquarium. I obliged. I bought him a small aquarium with 4 small fish inside. After a few days, all the fish died. My son was so sad, and this made me sad too. So I researched, and tried my best to understand the science behind it. I also studied aquatic plants, and how to establish my own e...

Beautiful Giant Pathos How can I get some clipping from your wall?
Wow beautiful
Seems like these Giant Pothos can tolerate direct sunlight after all.. 😮
In Canada, the giant pothos is called the Hawaiian pothos, and is a cultivar of the golden pothos. So it has more varigation and grows faster, bigger, and is hardier than the golden pothos. I just bought one recently. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t see the brown centipede like nodes which are attached on your wall , In my Pothos … And I’ve been growing it for about 10 Yrs now . I agree they are different. Very impressive 👏🏻
Actually giant pothos and regular pothos are the same plant. The leaves of pothos keeps getting bigger when when the apex roots gets vertical support to grip on (this isnt the same as making it vertical with a support such as rope or stick or something). Eventually the leaves become very big. For the ones where even the lower leave are big are basically the ones grown from the cuttings from the top portion of another plant
Beautiful 😍
Me doing same ... 2 leave per month, doing great
pothos are invasive in florida so refrain from planting these in the wild and keep then in reasonable space that and by that i mean do something like this guy did instead of planting them somewhere you know if they grew to high or to far out you wouldnt be able to get it all back
As far as I know sir even a regular size of photos it will become a giant photos sir..
Amazingly beautiful! I wish i could have a cutting.
Awwww, i just planted some outside today and did not plant them that close to the wall, dang.
how do you make it into a bonsai tree? and can the lemon ficus handle full sun? i have a ficus tineke but I'm scared to put it outside because the miami sun can be harsh
Sanaabigyan nyo po ako nyan kahit isang dahon lang..
What kind of bonsai tree was that??
It's a Japanese Bucida :)

Omg! Where are you from?? I loveeee how the wall has been covered completely by the giants in less than a year!!!! I would love to have some of your cuttings on your next trim. I have some giants too and would like some more💯💯💯💯 awesome vlog! Kisses to Pablo💋♥️
Hello! We are from BF Homes, Paranaque! Pablo appreciates the kisses! :)
I think you should do monstera on one side jazz it up a little
That's a good idea! Thou Monsteras are very expensive from where I am from :) Thank you for the idea!
Nice
Done watching 👀. Happiness in leaf 🍃 vlog
Normal pothos and hawiian are the same just normal has been always bred small. But if it is grown up a large pole eventually it's leaves get bigger then a top cut is taken and the process repeated or wall and eventually it will make leaves the same as the Giant ones. Your "normal" one isn't as it's been shaded by the big ones giving it less light therefore the small leaves are staying small
Action dear
I would love to have a cutting of the giant potho. I have alot of regular potho.
It has come to a point that I throw away my cuttings, since I don't have time to replant, to sell, or to give it away 🥲
You are very clever! I’ll try to do that too.
Thank you! Good luck with your Pothos wall!
Clever
Amazing job , so gorgeous
Thank you for liking our mini rainforest :)
Who needs pothos if you can have papayas? 😊 beautiful garden. 👏 I have regular pothos that grows anywhere between 3cm leaves to 30cm, never as big as these, but I’m in a cooler climate.
Yes, I think warm, humid climate is the best for these species. They naturally grow in our rainforests.
Wow! Amazing! Would love to grow after seeing all your videos. Thanks for sharing all these informations. Quick question - What are your thoughts on wall directions? Which one will be the best for growing Pothos?
Thank you for your kind words. It's just a hobby I share with my son :) The wall is best to be facing the morning sun. In my country, the Philippines, afternoon sun gets too hot for the Pothos. They do great with bright direct morning sun.
Awesome! Great work! Hope your son learn from you and develop the same hobby:) Thanks a lot once again! Keep growing!🍀
Wow! That’s amazing 😍😍
Thank you Guilherme!
Where do we get giant pothos.. I searched several local nurseries but couldn’t find one
Hi Nevin, are you from the Philippines?
Hi Simon :-)
Hi Mr. Varon! Thank you for watching my youtube! - Simon
Hi po can you pls. Do a video how you propagate your giant photos and how many weeks to fertize it with urea thank u
Hello! I think you have already seen the 1st video. I would recommend putting urea once every 2 weeks for faster growth 🙂
Hi po anu po ang need ilagay sa nakaexposed na naicut na vine and baket po kaya nag bbrown un giant photos ko nakawall po xa. Thank u po
Hindi naman mamamatay ang naicut na vine. No need to put anything dun sa exposed vine na pinagputulan. Ang browning ng leaves can be caused by too much sunlight and heat due to our current sunmer season. Also, the placement of your pothos is better sa morning indirect sunlight. It will have a hard time surviving direct afternoon sun.
Thats beautiful
Thank you so much!
Beautiful plumeria BUSH or TREE you've got there. Thanks for the info. I couldn't help but notice the potted traveler's palms (Ravanala Madagascariensis) on the 1st story balcony of the apartments behind. I have one as well that I ordered from Urban Tropicals in Hampton, FL I ordered last year that has put out 2 full leaves and is working on a 3rd. I also have 4 plumeria cuttings I ordered from Etsy that are beginning to leaf out. We're only at April 13, so we have the rest of spring and all summer for them to take root and get started. I'm in Lake Charles, LA where we enjoy a subtropical climate. Not quite warm enough to plant them in the ground, but almost. We have 3-5 light freezes (28-32 degrees) here per year. So I just scoot my plants inside an adjacent room for the night. Thanks for posting.
Kudos to your efforts in trying to grow tropical plants in your climate. That must be a great challenge. Those travellers palms are actually on the 2nd floor balcony of my house. My house just happens to look like an apartment 😄 I have propagated these travellers palms. I will upload a video soon on how I did it 🙂 Thank you for you comment and thanks for watching! I will
Grabe 20 years , ang ganda tignan .
Thank you! For me ito ang pinaka madaling ipropagate na rubber tree, compared to other variants. Mabilis siya magform ng roots.
very useful😊
Thank you sir!
Thx a lot for the update! Hopefully you'll do another one in a few months. One question is still unanswered: Why only golden pothos and no other varieties?
Oh, sorry, my fault, it was answered! Thx again!

Can you do an update on your pothos wall, please? And is there a reason why you only use golden pothos? Isn't this working with over varieties too? Greetings from Germany!
Hello as requested! I have uploaded an update video! czcams.com/video/vmFi2I12Uyc/video.html Golden Pothos are perfect for our warm and humid climate. I guess it will depend on the temperature and humidity of your place, to see what specie of pothos would be compatible. I also used Golden Pothos since they are known to grow huge leaves, which I love :)
Nice lovely
Thank you Dev!
It's soo huge 😍😲
Thank you! :)
Please check out the update on the wall: czcams.com/video/vmFi2I12Uyc/video.html
I have the regular one which is the small variety but after growing them upward they do grow big leaves and if they grow giant they'll have fenestration like Monstera. So I do believe that the small variety and the giant photos are just the same. They'll just depend on how you grow them. If you grow them downward or in hanging pot. Their leaves grow smaller while if you grow them upwards and if there is something they can stick or hold something like wall or tree then the leaves will grow bigger like giant photos.
Thank you Ranzel. Thou, I have a different experience when growing them together on the same wall.
How long did it take for them to get big?
@@boopinmysnoot5093 At this video maybe around 8 months. But please do check out this latest video, to check out the status of the pothos wall when it was already growing for more than a year and 6 months.
czcams.com/video/vmFi2I12Uyc/video.html
Does the leaf split?
As the vine gets higher, the stems get thicker, and the leaves get bigger. The bigger leaves tend to have ridges which kinda looks like a monstera haha
@@IslandBoysTV2020 thanks I have one and I could not figure out if it was a monstera aurea or a giant Golden pothos but the one I have the leaves started to fenestrate
@@joeorton1218 one way to know is that, new pothos leaves would not have ridges, they would only grow ridges after a certain height. On the other hand, new monstera leaves would already have ridges right away.
