Een Virtual Reality installatie en game die je meeneemt naar het perspectief van de wetenschapper en de vraag: Wat is leven?
Wat is daar dan voor nodig? En… probeer zelf leven te bouwen!
Zet een VR-bril op en stap in de wereld van wetenschappers. Je wordt zo klein dat je alle bouwblokjes van leven op moleculair niveau kunt zien. Tijd om op zoek te gaan naar de bouwblokjes die jij nodig hebt om je eigen leven te bouwen. Vang de bouwblokjes met je netje en bouw zo je eigen leven!
Een educatieve VR ervaring voor kinderen in opdracht van het Origin Centre, en de Nationale Wetenschap Agenda in samenwerking met Science LinX Groningen.
Deze VR ervaring is een combinatie van gefilmde VR en een game waardoor de connectie gemaakt wordt met de echt wereld en de onderzoekswereld die zich op onzichtbaar (moleculair) niveau bevindt. De ervaring neemt kinderen mee naar de bijzondere onderzoeksvraag “Wat is Leven?” en ze maken kennis met de definities van leven en de verwondering en magie van het leven zelf. En komen misschien tot de conclusie dat al het leven uit dezelfde eigenschappen bestaat met allemaal dezelfde moeder.. maar dat zelf de wetenschappers nog niet weten hoe dit leven nou echt ontstaat.. en dat is voer voor verdere onderzoeksvragen!

A Virtual Reality installation and game that takes you to the scientist's perspective and the question: What is life?
What is needed for that? And… try to build life yourself!
Put on VR glasses and step into the world of scientists. You become so small that you can see all the building blocks of life at the molecular level. Time to look for the building blocks you need to build your own life. Catch the elements with your net and build your own life!
An educational VR experience for children commissioned by the Origin center, NWO and the National Science Agenda in collaboration with Science LinX Groningen.
This VR experience is a combination of filmed VR and a game that makes the connection with the real world and the research world that is located at the invisible (molecular) level. The experience takes children to the special research question “What is Life?” and they are introduced to the definitions of life and the wonder and magic of life itself. And they may come to the conclusion that all life consists of the same properties with all the same mother... but that scientists themselves do not yet know how this life really originates... and that is fodder for further research questions!
