on my xps15 (2018 model) I had similar problem. I followed your instructions but only unconnected the main battery (not the CMOS battery, which I couldn't find in there). still, the fix worked. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for making this video, good sirs! My Dell XPS 13 9350 looked completely dead without even the LED lighting up. Other forums suggested disconnecting the battery but that didn't help. Disconnecting the CMOS battery did the trick for me!

Geez I would not have expected a CMOS reset would be needed to resolve no POST. Haven't had to do that in 20 years or more.

I have dell xps 13 7390, that have same problem like this, is that can solved same like this video. The bios alsa always ask me to setting the time every time it power on, and when i sleep my laptop or it sometimes shutdown.

Does this work on any dell laptop? Because my Dell G5 5500 isn’t turning on, the keyboard lights up but nothing happens. So could this method help me out?
