NEVER EVER FORCE THREADS ON PVC!!!!!! Not only you’re weakening the PVC but also you’re going to have a massive leak because PVC is “Scheduled” for a reason. Each schedule is rated by how thick the walls of PVC is which means the thicker it is, the more pressure it can withstand. The lower the schedule, the least pressure it can hold. So please don’t follow this advice, especially since PVC male threaded couplings only cost 65Ċ cents USD per coupler. If you’re not comfortable with installing PVC or CPVC please consider calling your local plumbing company, especially small business operated plumbing companies
