I just went with a 325p2 and a 436hp as you can use AA batteries in an emergency , or even rechargeable ones. The SDS100 takes proprietary batteries that cost as of now $70 each, not to mention it is extremely hard to find holsters for the 100, while the 325p2 and 436hp will fit almost any radio holster.

You wear what you need, leather and nylon can go good together depending how you mix it, l carry a small binoculars on a snap handcuff strap on a cations and some times carry two or more cuffs depending on the jobs I do, same thing with pepper spray and other basic equipment..

I worked in a city jail. NOBODY could carry a gun in the jail. The cops had to lock guns up in a safe outside and keep the key

its great you explained your states citizens arrest laws, that's rare to see most try to overplay it or make it sound cooler then it really is. I'm Casino Security on tribal land out in California so we follow different rules we are not regulated by state, but i will be speaking about California state security powers. It's pretty much the same we can only perform a "private persons arrest" if a misdemeanor or a felony takes place within our presence, or we have REASONABLE SUSPICION that the person committed the crime. we don't call it citizens arrest because you don't need to be a citizen to perform one. For the most part if your in private security you should really just observe and report and not risk a citizens arrest unless you have been trained properly on the act of doing so. If done properly they can be an amazing tool, but if done wrong you can throw your life away Security has been great to me it's helped me mature and have a different outlook on life and has given me the skills and the expereince to now be going to another reservation and becoming a full on Tribal Enforcement Officer where I will hav arrest power, and perform lawful detainments on the reservation and turn the people over to actual law enforcement. Security is an amazing career field where if you just push through can find amazing places to work at and make security a career

Nice very nice duty belt set up! Our dept. Uses Safariland basket weave 94 duty belts or buckle belts. No nylon or Velcro since Wisconsin has snow, sleet and salt. I had a set up in college while working for our Major Hospital. 8 years it turn white and gray! We use Safariland basket weave pouches to. Check out Heros Pride equipment they have nice fake leather pouches for your NORCAM AND YOUR TQ!

I sorry to hear that you had problems with your ASP. baton staying expanded. I had one ( my own) for over thirty years now, yes I'm a old timer. I have had no such problem. Try unscrewed the cap and adjusting the tension spring of call ASP customer service. Your ASP has a life guarantee and their customer service was helpful to me.😌

My old partner carried a monocular when we did covert surveillance on subjects at our old job--we could easily identify someone (especially those with warrants) from a distance and since we were plain clothes they wouldn't notice us (we'd be in a car or something) and we'd pass that information along to local police. Worked wonders. I just didn't find the time to buy one.

You should upgrade your setup to basketweave leather or safariland accumold elite. It will look nicer and more professional than nylon.

Depends entirely on the uniform. For a hard uniform/patrol officer/button down/long pants, leather looks better. For a soft uniform/"bike cop"/polo/shorts, nylon looks better.
