    I tried these fans on a radiator and it made a god awful rattle noise. I tried 3 different sets of grand tornados and all produced the sound on a 240 Atmos. Then I tested a be quiet silent wing pro 4, noctua 25, and t30 on the 240 Atmos and none produced the noise the grand tornado did. I have my PC behind my living room tv about 15 to 20 feet away and could hear it over the tv speakers.

    Corsair releases a top performing fan. Hell has frozen over. I wonder if they're planning on re-releasing these with iCue link later, because it seems very odd that these wouldn't get the integrated solution treatment. As always, thank you for independently verifying the marketing claims. I simply don't trust anything Corsair says any more. Though if they keep releasing these kinds of products, this may change.

    I have Asus Dual 4070Ti super that was released in April of this year so I'm guessing has the 12v-2x6 connector? I was thinking on getting Focus GX 1000W that comes with Seasonic 2x8 to 12VHPWR cable. I was also considering on getting that PSU, but ATX 3.0, but I'm a bit confused, what would be better choice to be as close to the safety net or should I just wait for ATX 3.1 to be released? Thank you

    • @HardwareBusters
      @HardwareBusters Před 2 dny

      Most PSUs now feature the native 12V-2x6 connector, and the ones that use 2x 8pin sockets are even safer.

      @@HardwareBusters Very grateful for your prompted response. I have 3 options to chose from, could you be kind with your extensive knowledge and give me some clarity on which one I should go with. 1. Focus 1000W GX and use included 2x8 to 12VHPWR 2. FOCUS V3 GX-1000 with their native 12VHPWR ( Do you think that this model might have the 12V-2x6 connector, Its been released in June of 2023) 2. Prime TX 1000W and included 2x8 to 12VHPWR. Reason I included the TX is for the Titanium rating and its the 2023 model that includes the 2x8 to 12VHPWR Reason I am leaning towards Focus is because is quite smaller which I like and the fan has very smooth and dead silent operation, opposed to TX when comes on, initially you can hear it, but runs quiet as well, but for some reason I like the Focus size. I hope you can give me advise I would like to purchase one soon. Thank you sir.

    These fans are a bit ridiculous. I'd say the 3000rpm mode is a "holy sh*t mode". You'd only want to be using it when it's the only way to keep the computer cool. Good to have it there for low-airflow cases. My case is white, so I might go for the white version just for aesthetic reasons.

    with such silly high wattage in such a small form factor, I sort of get dropping 80+. with GPUs and CPUs blowing well past 300 watts, what's the point in pretending to be environmentally friendly when we all wasting power on whatever mega-corps running in the background of webpage code to gather our marketable personal data while keeping our computers cranking out extra heat for our struggling AC units to deal with in the summer, lol. That and SFX isn't exactly a large form factor for massive heat sinks and PFC stuff, if it was a 250-watt PSU or lower-watt, sure, do the 80+ stuff, not 600+ watt space heaters, lol.

    • @NinjaQuick
      @NinjaQuick Před 3 dny

      Eh, Cybenetic's tests include efficiency. In fact, they are much stricter than 80plus' standards and better reflect the actual efficiency - so you can get an 80plus titanium which can't get cybenetics titanium while a cybenetics titanium will easily obtain 80plus titanium.

    • @Zarcondeegrissom
      @Zarcondeegrissom Před 2 dny

      @@NinjaQuick and that is all good, as I am also far more interested in the voltage regulation of my power suppliers than some 'green' energy-star efficacy sticker anyway. You are correct that 80+ only tests the efficiency and nothing else, it was also marked as a save the planet reduce your individual carbon footprint thing, and thinking back to 2k when graphics cards consumed maybe fifteen watts vs them melting six-hundred-watt plugs today, not to say CPUs going from less than 40 watts to also over 300 watts, being "energy efficient" was all for nothing, lol. All of the carbon footprint calculations don't give a hoot what your computer's productivity is, you are a single person, and so am I, and it all boils down to how much junk is put into the environment producing the watts that we as individuals are consuming, that's all there is to that 'green' stuff, and it's silly to say I can consume more power than someone else just because the power converter is more efficient at consuming more power, lol. And that's all 80+ was, an excuse to pretend to be green while being more glutanus.

    • @ehdbom
      @ehdbom Před 2 dny

      @@Zarcondeegrissom you are the biggest yapper to ever exist. Not trying to be mean, but you are completely wrong in your first comment where you believe that this PSU doesn't have a 80+ rating because it is unefficient. 80+ is a very old standard that isn't up to par, therefore Cybenetics have essentially replaced it and it is much better. But you go on rambling about climate, lol. Also not everyone buys a more efficient PSU for the climate, many buy it because it is a premium product, often quieter and draws a little less electricity.

  • @Zarcondeegrissom
    @Zarcondeegrissom Před 3 dny

    -12V and -5V is a legacy baby-AT RS232 and EGA (Enhanced Graphics Adapter) things, Agreed, no need for it in "ATX v3.whatever" today, hell what motherboard today has 8-bit ISA slots that require them rails, they all 5V USB/I2C/ARGB interfaces now, lol. Ironicly I need more 5V amps for a few of my "true Full tower" computers than what modern PSUs deliver, yet I also get why some form factors should just ditch that rail from the PSU (esp if it's only for a USB mouse and KB). it comes down to the use case to be fair. PSU makers don't cater to the majority that just wants a low-watt twitter/facebook/youtube box, they cater to the most demanding use for the form factor, and with people trying to cram 5090ti-GAMING(tm)-xXxTremeXxX cinderblock GPUs with dual-socket Epycs into a shoe-box-sized case, that's what PSU makers cater to (some sarcasm), lol.

    Very intesting video. 👍The Enthoo Pro I bought in 2016 had 200 screws, an even better manual and nothing was ambiguous. Bought another one last month and it didn't even have all the screws listed in the manual, plus the instructions were so BASIC and the pictures of the screws were very ambiguous. The Pro 2 manual is much better but still doesn't show a lot of steps needed.

    Brazilian reviewer Ronaldo Bossuali from TecLab (from the Galax gpu brand lab) reviewed the Gamemax GX line (600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 850 Pro with 12hpwr, 1050 Pro and 1250 Pro also with the new connector) and they all did amazing, Gamemax really stepped up their game, in Brazil there were very few high quality PSUs for their price point and were very sucessful, they only got competition at their price point recently with the GLX line from Galax (also reviewed by Ronaldo)
