What about the volume? Loudness, does it sound very loud or is it more like a 5 in a scale of 1 to 10?
The volume depends on your skill level with dynamic control. Keeping it at 5 and letting your mic and PA do their jobs is best.
ARE STEVE AND JOE WALSH RELATED ? THEY KIND OF HAVE HIGH VOICES 😊😊😊😊
Wow! I never thought about that. LOL.
I guess I just misheard these lyrics for years. And the lyrics I thought I heard made no sense to me at all. The part where he just kinda mumbles "and I lost myself in a familiar song"---I thought I was hearing "and I lost myself and ended up with this song"? And then the part in the chorus "when I hear that old song they used to play"--I thought he was singing, "When I hear that on some days"? But you can't hear the rest of what he's singing over the chorus that crashes in "more than I'm feeling"
LOL! I have so many "misheard lyric" stories I could tell!
I don’t like metal, but something in your technique seems to work for me…I have so much jaw and young tension, adult tounge tie and my constants sound awful and my diction is choppy… much to work with…
HVT works for all styles. Keep at it! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
It worked and reduced my jaw tension thanks
Right on, it worked for me too!
Can we expand our voice in lower chords as in higher chords?
Absolutely! I gained over an octave on the bottom after training.
i wana sing like jim morrison
Cool! Do it!
Great advice.
Thanks for watching.
Wow an incredible voice from our Heavenly Father
Opening mouth as wide as possible is great for noobs, because it teaches the sensation im the throat we want. Experienced singers can get the same result with nearly closed mouth, but for us normies, if we do not open the mouth enough, we will do weird stuff with our tongue, especially the root of the tongue, and so big mouth is actually smart, in the very beginning😁 i think
For open exercises, in the beginning it can be effective, but you quickly realize that opening the jaw to the point of creating tension at the hinge while attempting to sing actual lyrics is counterproductive.
@@EliPrinsensHVTVocals i see!
Oh my goodness, best demo ever.
Thank you 🙏
Best lesson on the ee vowel. I have been struggling for years. Gonna try it tomorrow. You really get the real struggles of singers.
Thanks for the comment, and you're right, I really do understand the struggles of singers. I started from zero and had to learn all this stuff myself!
LOVED Kansas! Saw them 3 times and they were all Awesome!
Cool!!!
Thanks, Matt!
No Fran Cosmo at that time. He was later, when Brad left the band for a while and then had less confidence in his high range when he was older. At age 25, when Brad recorded this track, he had ALL of those notes, maybe more! I did a show with him in 1975 before he became famous. We played covers. He could sound like ANYBODY. In BeatleJuice, he sang all of the lead vocals, regardless of whether John, Paul, George or Ringo did the original. I have never played with a greater talent in any musical genre.
That's amazing, David! Thanks for the comment.

I thought you were Allan Holdsworth in the thumbnail 😅
Haha. Wish I could play like him!
Any upcoming discount season? interested to try this!
Yes, keep watching!
A lot of Bel Canto instructors especially the older generation trained in Europe refer to it as the nasal notes or Head Voice. Honestly it is just M2 but tries to mimic the quality of chest. I just wanted to clarify this to explain why you heard some people refering to this as head voice.
Yes, there are 101 different ways to describe registrations.
Thanks legend🤘
Thank you 🙏
Great song bro
Thanks 🙏
I had forgotten how much I liked that song and I’m so glad I had the chance to hear you sing it. It shows great control for someone who has such a big voice.
Thanks, Keith! I appreciate the kind words and comment.
Can you please make a video on JLT Can’t Let You Go.I believe that’s the most difficult song to sing from him
I'll check it out.
All by Myself of Celine Dion
Wow dude it works
If Brad held the away at the end for that long and didnt multitrack it thats pretty damn impressive
I now, right?!
To be very clear Steve never had any vocal training or singing lessons ...Phil Ehart remarked that he was stunned upon hearing Steve sing for the very first time. He was born to be the greatest singer of all time.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
nice!! And there was no falsetto, just head voice.
Thanks for watching and listening!
@@EliPrinsensHVTVocals And Whistle Register G6!!!! Nice!!
Wish u would make podcast episodes more frequently. Love your content G
New episodes in the works as we speak! Thanks for listening and watching!
If I weren't 71. But did get an extra note or 2 bottom and top. Will keep trying, but opera needs resonance on the F, G, and As. Above the C is not used and only Dimash sounds good up there. Will likely settle for no classical tenor stuff.
It's never too late for improvement. Never give up.
@@EliPrinsensHVTVocals Thx
I hear other breakdowns, and you are right on with your breakdowns. Love listening to you. T shirt Rockman is cool too. Lol
Thanks for the cool comments and for subscribing, I really appreciate it!
Great breakdown, brother. I subscribed..
Delp, Absolutely best I have ever heard..strangley enough I love David Lee Roths style opposite isolation. ??
I love Delp as well. Also dig Roth for his delivery and "story telling".
Tried this last gig, works a treat, also did the "tongue too high", and that doesn't work🤣 Many thanks. Great info👌🏽
Glad it helped!

Thanks, that was good!
Welcome to my channel! Glad you liked it!
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
So do tenors have the same passaggio as baritones?
While it varies from person to person, on average, a tenor's passaggio is a whole step above a baritones.
@EliPrinsensHVTVocals thanks man. Where whould that be on the scale?
Take my Money and give me the money notes Eli! Love your Main course and your mix course. btw I would've bought this already but thanks to CZcams's rubbish notification system I'm only now seeing the video. If I were you I'd bang out another couple of videos just in case your 9 thousands other subs didn't see this one either. Bless ya cotton socks! :)
Thanks for all the kind words. Glad you enjoy my courses and will definitely bang out a few videos very soon!
Hi😅
Hi!
Danke!
Thank you very much! You are the first Super Thanks for my channel. I sincerely appreciate it!
Thank you a lot for this lesson! It is very informative yet very likeable offered 🙂. FYI: In an interview I heard Steve Walsh once answer: "No, I didn't take any vocal lessons, but I should have".
Cool! Thanks for watching and for letting me know that information!
Good Job, Eli. Learned some new things. Always good.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That song has always been mystical to me. It doesn't just take me back in time, it takes me away. To where, I don't know. I had an unhappy childhood. My dad died when I was 8. This song has always been an escape. Truly it's magic.
Truly magical. Sorry about your dad.
When I first started taking singing seriously, I was told that I was a baritone, and I was in my mid 20s, but when I started singing at open mic nights and in the choir at my former church, my choir director told me I was a tenor, and I started embracing that though I was singing in both ranges. I still enjoy singing, especially the high notes.
I was lucky, even though I had a low voice, my teacher never put a classical classification on me, we just went to work.
What is that song that played after your beautiful intro?? I loved it!

Hi Eli, when will the program be released?

All of Brads vocals were recorded by producer John Boylan at either Capital Studios Studio C or The Record Plant LA. There was no device or effect that Tom made on Brads vocals or in the signal chain. What you are hearing on every song but Let Me Take You Home is a Nueman U87 solid state mic into the Quad Eight console and pres at Capital Studios. All effects on Brads voice are from top rung LA studio gear. You should be able to hear that difference. All vocals both lead and backing are Brad and no one else
Thanks for the details! Much appreciated.
Then how can we achieve that
Train your voice with HVT or another proven system and/or reputable vocal coach.
Fab info!!
Thanks 🙏
