I have autism I don’t like loud noises that why I got loops ear plugs it helps me a lot I just got mine today

Thanks so much for this review. I’ve been watching tons of reviews because I can’t decide among the three different kinds of Loops. I really hate loud sounds, abrupt sounds, and prolonged noise. They make me go crazy. I’m leaning more towards the Quiet because I can’t even be bothered to talk to people when I’m out in public so I have no use for the features of the Engage.

Thank you for a "true" review! As an ADHDer I appreciate the neurodivergent perspective. I'm particularly interested in finding something that blocks out other people's conversations in busy public places, like on the bus, the mall, at school etc. in your experience, does quiet block that? And what about high pitch sounds like sirens from outside, train breaks and things like that? And if it doesn't block it by itself, can you get there by using noise canceling headphones on top?

I’ve been looking for some earplugs for a while (specifically a pair that helps with sound sensitivity while still being able to hear things around, without the issue of occlusion effect) and this is by far the best review I watched. I would love to know what people think of the difference between the day and night ones

I am also in the spectrum, I live with my noise cancelling headphones on at all times: in the street, in the bus, at restaurants, alone at home, when sleeping. Most of the times I struggle the most in class and lectures in uni and these seems like something that might help me. Looking at what they have I think I'll try both the quiet and engage, and maybe try them with my noise canceling headphones. Thank you for your review!

To put it succinctly, they reduce sound "intensity". You still hear everything but the pressure of the sound wave is reduced because the cross sectional area in your ear is smaller.

Thank you for sharing! My partner is an autistic and i can't control my voice raise to higher speech sometime😂 He is very sensitive of noice and easy get overwhelmed when we hang out. I just got him a pair of calmer, hope he LIKE IT!

hey :) thanks for your videos and helpful reviews. could you please share which one you liked more between flare and loop ? i already have noice cancelling headphones that im using all day long cause im extra sensitive to sound, but i have difficulties to connect and communicate with ppl in busy and crowded environments or even in the streets like walking and talking. I am wondering if i should buy the flare calmers for that or the engage loops, would you suggest one in particular for this specific matter ? Thanks a lot

I tried them recently and I was soooo so sceptical. But they do wonders for me. I wear them all the time. Even at home under my headphones. It makes watching stuff so much easier, because the sounds hurt less. UwU

I'm not autistic (maybe somewhat on the spectrum), but I have trouble picking voices out of background noise, and Ring earbuds are tremendously helpful. Have you tried wearing earbuds while you're talking to see whether that helps? I'm using Engage Plus. Thanks for making the video.

Thanks for this. Ive bern looking for sound reduction options recently and read about this product. I struggle with train wheels screaching, dogs barking , high frequency aspects of any noise really. Flare claims to help people still hear well, but take away the edginess while reducing stress . Regular sound blockers have me taking them out every time someone cones and asks me a question which increases my stress. Calmer seems to me an option id like to try as someone on the spectrum.

Oh! Thanks for the part about the muffled sounds. I get bothered but unclear repetitive sounds. I bought a pair of the engage plus because they said it’s supposed to cut down on that, but I will still watch out! Thanks for the heads up, it would’ve been a nightmare if I didn’t know.

Here I am from Canada again... I too love the sound of the rain and the images. It reminds me of when I was in middle school and high school and always felt lonely. When it rained I really felt a lot of peace. One, on sunny days you want to share the nice day with someone and a seldom was able to do that. So the rain takes away any stress I felt about having to find a friend to hang with. Also my parents were constantly telling me to get out of the house and go play with my friends. I love reading books, I mean I REALLY love reading books. When it was raining they never told me to go out and it was OK to stay in and read. It felt so peaceful and I was happy and content. Have lots of great friends now and I'm never lonely... married to a great guy, had/have an interesting artistic life....sold my paintings, worked as a movie extra for several years, met a lot of nice and kind movie stars and people in general, and have a wonderful daughter (most of the time lol). Though I've had a lot of ups and downs like everyone else, I now know the Universe has my back and actually the worse that happens, the better the things eventually turn out when I trust that the Universe loves us unconditionally. P.S I think I was one of the very few girls who got the strap for talking (trying to get my pencil sharpener back quietly in Grade 2 In the 50's after the teacher warned me not to say another word just a few minutes before! You had to have another teacher as a witness and I had to go by myself to the Kindergarten class, knock and tell my old Kindergarten teacher (who I loved) that she had to come and watch me get the strap. I was SO embarrassed! The other girl and I both argued that it was the other who cried lol. For YEARS lol. Wishing you the best.

I appreciate this review! "my stress level was down because I wasn't waiting to be in pain" was exactly what I needed to hear. I have misophonia and most people don't seem to understand that it's not just the sounds, but also the potential for sounds to occur that causes the pain. I'm going to order a pair now :)

the way you described not being able to tell where a sound is coming from bothering you. that is my problem with most noise reduction is that i can still hear something and cant identify it so my brain keeps searching and i cant focus on anything else until its identified and put in a box. i like the loop quiet for sleeping bcs it actually blocks bass from bars close to my apt. i'm looking for a solution for daily life and work bcs i'm in an ICU for 12 hours and the alarms and sounds are really getting to me. i bought calmer and loop experience to see what feels best.

Loud noises, almost especially in theaters, can be overwhelming for me, and being in noisy social situations, like gatherings or theme parks, can sometimes throw me off. I'm very much considering the loop ear plugs & I loved watching your video!

I'm psychologist, and I'd like to help one specific child, she's in autism spectrum and cannot go to school because of the noise. I'd like to know if it's possible to hear voices, like the teacher, using those Loop Quiet.. sorry about my English, I'm from Brazil. Thanks for the video!

Thank you so much for this! I'm not autistic but can have anxiety and panic attacks when overstimulated by too many noises. I appreciate what you said about wearing them for an hour or so in the morning to get rid of the sharp sounds. I'm especially sensitive in the morning and a bunch of loud noises makes me start the day feeling stressed and anxious. I was considering the Loop Engage so I could still hear my surroundings, but it seems like with Quiet I will still be able to hear while still having strong protection against intrusive sounds.

I have misophonia & extremely sensitive to loud noise & “soft sounds”. I have been living in my Bose Quiet Comfort so wanted something more discreet. I bought the Loop Quiet & am pretty happy. They are a bit tricky to insert & I find them a little uncomfortable when sleeping but I am now getting a bit more of a restful sleep. Thanks for the review 😊

Thank you for this video! This is exactly what I was looking for because I wanted to know from someone like me if they would hurt while sleeping. Normally, the discomfort of wearing earplugs to sleep keeps me awake and I was hoping the silicone Loop wouldn’t hurt. I have their other two earplugs that are amazing, but hadn’t bitten the bullet for the all silicone ones. Thanks again!
