I remember the funeral was aired on tv, and im sure i was 1 of thousands that broke down in tears when vince came and did this song. I still get the chills.
My uncle and I went to Portland Maine on a soggy and cold late summer day to see a display round with Arnold and Terry Bradshaw to try to bring a senior tournament to the area. Because of the poor weather there was a sparse turn out but we got to walk around a golf course for eighteen holes and be able to see this man on a personal level. We all had jackets and gloves on but Arnold made the few of us there to feel special. Such a memory I will always cherish. RIP Arnie
I worked at an investment back financing projects related to Palmer's organization. It was there I learned he was so much more than a golfer but an amazing man due all respect.
This is what I wish could have done for my dad.. We didn't have the song sung at funeral cause the pastor who sings it was sick. Thank you Vince for this lovely song !!

We love Vinny Gill and we want him to be able to perform for a long time. We saw him in Connecticut this past summer. We want him to lose weight, as it appears he has put it all back on again. What a lovely song for Arnold Palmer and family. Best person Vinny ever knew. That's saying something.

I'll ask him to show me a few licks while we're talking about the awesome Daytona 500. We'll end up laughing our asses off making fun of the Oscars and all those hateful people called "actors". In the end, I'll count the laughs...Not the calories.
jdexposure. i understand what you're saying. i also fight my weight and i know how hard it is. i had it under control for the last three years but when i have stress i eat. some people do drugs, some drink and some take pills. i eat. my daughter had open heart surgery this past july and i put on twenty five pounds. now i am in the process of taking it back off again. we all handle things in different ways.
