Words Will Always Retain Their Power
"Good evening, London. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, whereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle are celebrated with a nice holiday. I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, think, and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillence coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well, certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now High Chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence. Last night I destroyed the Old Bailey, to remind this country of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever be forgot"

This 80-minute documentary focuses on the growing "wealth gap" in America, as seen through the eyes of filmmaker Jamie Johnson, a 27-year-old heir to the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical fortune. Johnson, who cut his film teeth at NYU and made the Emmy®-nominated 2003 HBO documentary Born Rich, here sets his sights on exploring the political, moral and emotional rationale that enables a tiny pe...

1:09:00 look carefully at Jaimie. While I think he may have had good intentions to make this movie. He was ultimately not used to treating the poor and underclass with consideration and respect. Just because he made this doesnt mean he feels a "special connection" that you are all so wanting desperately. He has no connection with the poor or underclass. He is trying hard to not laugh at this poor man who says "I am rich because I have love and kindness". Jaimie feels this is the most bizarre thing he has ever heard. THIS my friends is why we have not seen or heard from Jaimie in what, 20 years? He freaking vanished to his palace and locked the doors! He lives his billionaire life. NOW we KNOW, that he was aware that he had a CHOICE. and his choice was to continue destroying america with his mass wealth accumulation and STAY QUIET.

This is the same story all over the world, not just here in the USA, my Grandfather cut sugar cane for 22 years, his hands and body were sliced up by the canes leaves which are razor sharp, during burning they inhaled black smoke so lung diseases were common! No benefits and all for a few bucks a day! The entire country got taken over and lot's of people died during revolts, it was pure massacre all to make others rich!

Jamie is amazing. I like his drive and curiosity ❤ He's a talented film maker. What shock's me the most are the scenes with his Dad, Milton Friedman & Buffets Granddaughter - How unbelievably unsophisticated and threatened they are by the slightest confrontation or argument. They seem incredibly fragile - It is fascinating to see how fearful & concerned they are with completely trivial issues.

It may seem trivial to you, but betraying those who you gave your allegiance to in an unwritten way means a lot to them. We all have what matters in our lives. These are theirs. ❤

Jamie experienced exactly what his father experienced when he made his documentary. Which is heart breaking in itself knowing they wanted to help and change the world for the better just to learn its beyond impossible. Can see why his father was against born rich and one percent documentary he was trying to protect his son from that hard truth. They both are brave and good hearted people for their documentary.

I can't even finish watching this bullshit. It's cringe at every turn. These people have convinced themselves that wealth is the engine of industry and progress and not the destroyer of equality and democracy. These people can't even have a goddamned honest conversation with themselves let alone others. Money corrupts abosultely and this film is absolute proof.

I’ve never felt the rich owe me anything. In my opinion they are there because of a different mindset. Poor people just keep having children and perpetuating the poverty cycle and then constantly play victim. Honestly I don’t think it’s wealth that divides us its mindsets. Now commoners are getting to travel and they don’t even know how to act on airplanes. I’m sorry but protect the social classes not everyone knows how to act and the day I get there I don’t want any of these lack minded individuals ruining it for me !

12:07 this is a sensible statement except this is not a free society. Those with money control everything and it is generally in their best interest to ensure that not everyone is able to get ahead regardless of their talents. Instead they exploit those with talents, throwing in the occasional bone or pet the dog moment to those whose work is useful to the wealthy while ensuring the rest remain exploited. What gets you ahead is how well connected you are because it's a club and you're not in it.

😂This poor guy at 1:00:00 who seems educated, thanks income tax pays for roads, bridges, education!😂😂😂 No, the privately owned Federal reserve Prince that money out of thin air, your income tax dollars simply go to pay the private owners of the privately owned banks who own the Federal reserve the 10% interest on that money that cost them nothing to print. I bet you wish you could get paid billions of dollars of interest for something that cost you nothing to create! The biggest solution to the biggest problem in this country is to close the Federal reserve and let us print our own money through Congress as we did when we were a wealthy nation instead of 34 trillion dollars in debt, directly attributed to the Federal reserve and this complete Ponzi scheme with usury system.

11:15 Milton is the biggest dingus ever. He basically says if you cut off growth at the top it disables growth at the bottom. But growth is already disabled at the bottom. The rich keep getting richer. Then he says how this system enables you to have a camera because you are trying to get wealthy by making a movie, but jamie johnson is already wealthy, he isnt looking to get wealthy, he already is. He clearly is doing it because he wants to do it and not for any financial reason 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

In life especially the United States of America, regardless of background, everything in life comes down to CHOICE. The wealthy in the present is made so from CHOICES that was made by couple of generations in the past that is affecting the future. How can an individual in the United States of America born and grow in a poor part of any state, choose to die there. As long a person wants better for themselves, the decision would be made to move to where there is better... It all comes down to CHOICE.

The problem with trickle down economics, it's NOT good for the economy, a billionaire class buying 100 million dollar yachts and mansions might create some jobs sure, but they are not going to buy 100 million pair of jeans, cars, cellphones, pillow cases or whatever else you can think off, that create entire industries and millions of jobs that pay taxes and don't use loopholes to no taxes at all.
