Hi, I tried to say goodbye this morning, shouted out and honked my horn but I think you guys might have been sleeping. Great meeting you both. Safe travels Andy
Yeah, we passed back out for a while lol. We moved over to the campground in town called the Virginian. Going to hang out here. We’re actually going up to the observatory tonight for three hours. But it was a pleasure meeting you bud. Glad we got to hang out a little bit. Thanks for the whiskey.!
Great cover
Wow!! Spectacular!! My knees ache in thinking about making this trek, but thanks for taking us along on this epic journey!
How does number one work
Same as number two. But you can let it mellow
How has the trailer been? Run into alot of other rv issues like leaks and stuff not working?
We had an issue with the original door on the Dempster Highway but have had a lighter weight door installed. Other than that, not at all… we had a couple upgrades done, auto bed frame and ported furnace. Took it to the ocean a few weeks ago. Everything working fine. It’s day and night compared to the Sunseeker we had before this. We’d find random screws every time we stopped. This thing really seems bomb proof.
Wow!! Amazing!! Especially from the perspective of SE TX. Thanks for taking us along!
Nice tune man. I'm chilling in the forest right now. Thanks for the jam.
Rarely see these RVs in the wild.. curious if you’ve had any issues with the build? We toured the ROA factory and walked through the varying models. They’re pretty amazing but curious about your experience so far. Safe travels
We had a little sway at first until we put more weight on the tongue. Just a little back heavy with all of the battery weight in the garage. We also had trouble with the original door falling apart in the Dempster highway in Canada and again on the Dalton highway Alaska. Pause sent us a replacement to anchorage. The refrigerator walked but they came up with a solution for that. All in all I love it and can’t imagine towing anything else now. With the air suspension on both the truck and Pause it’s a dream. Average about 10 mpg with the RAM 2500. We have a handful of upgrades that made it great for touring Alaska. McHitch, Cinderella toilet and Starlink. Just had them do the mechanical bed and ported furnace. I’ll be posting more vids eventually here…
Looking forward to see how things go with the trailer. I've been looking at this for a year or so and have not seen any real users that actually own and use it doing reviews. Every other video about it is from ROA and Big Truck and Big RV.
We really like it… def give up some “creature conforts” like couches/chairs, etc… but we usually spend a ton of time outdoors when we can anyway. But, with this and rear air suspension on our truck it’s amazing to tow. A bit heavy but the Ram 2500 pulls it no problem. Haven’t done a real “review” vid yet but we will this year I’m sure. Just got it back from Pause with upgrades done. Gonna take it to beach in a month for first trip this year. Alaska was amazing tho.
Beach camping is on my short list of must things to do. Well, once we actually get one that is. We'll be watching and waiting to hear your thoughts on the Trailer. Congrats on the Pause!@@tracksandtails
Just my two cents I'm interested in getting one of these but the liner part kind of gets to me it's like an extra step before I do my business however I was thinking what would happen if someone were to use it without the liner and REPLACE the liner part with a non-stick anti flammable material (teflon) CAN YOU TRY IT?
Lol. We’ll stick with the liners… neat and no mess. Haven’t had that sense of urgency where ya couldn’t drop in a quick liner. They live in the drawer next to the toilet.
@@tracksandtails do you ever miss when going #1 or 2
Having one of these put into a Host Mammoth slide in camper. Looking forward to not having a black tank! How is the propane use on yours?
Def uses it but we have two big tanks so they last a long time.
You can pee in that aswell or is this just for number 2??
Yes. You insert a wax paper insert, sort of like a coffee filter, that fits the shape of the bowl (purchased in packets separately). Can let it mellow or flush it down but the incinerator chamber takes care of everything.
That's a silly question. Who would ever have a system of using two different toilets when what's coming out of a person usually all comes out at the same time?
Toilet vent right next to the roof fan lmao.
It is lol… but hopefully if you’re in there doing your business you have it venting “out” not in 😂
Where do you guys put your pups while in the camper?
They stay with us in the camper…
honest question, i get that you won't smell any of it inside the toilet room or cabin/rv space, BUT, are you able to smell the stool/poop gas from outside? it can be toxic gas even, so seriously wondering how much it is 'smellable'.
If you’re outside and it’s flushed , depending on the wind/weather there can be an odor. It smells more like the wax liners burning I guess. I do not notice any kind of irritation from it or anything. But there is an odor from burning
@@tracksandtails thanks for the (quick) reaction! i assume from inside, you don't notice anything?
@@manoahvanderwolf3259 sometimes you get a whiff of that waxy smell inside as well. And honestly, we found that usually meant it was time to clean out the tray
@@tracksandtails ok thanks for the information!
Advertised as needing no water, but he hooked up a hose from the water heater. Can someone explain?
How did the Pause do? I'm looking at taking the exact same trip with a future Pause.
It did well. We had a couple issues just with dust and the door broke, which they sent us a replacement to Anchorage… but I couldn’t imagine towing anything else up there. It was nuts seeing all of the different things people use. I can’t believe anything else holds up. The Dempster and the Dalton are pretty rough! Their customer service is second to none.
@@tracksandtails thanks ! Can you elaborate on the dust? This is one of the things I like about the Bruder - how sealed it is. Where did the dust enter?
Wow!! Congrats!! Home safe from an epic voyage!! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to learning about more of your epic trips!
Fantastic mod!! Thank you for another great vid!! Question about the AC: do you reckon it would be enough for fulltime during the summer in Florida, as in afternoon siesta in 100 deg during the high heat of the day?
I believe as long as you are plugged in it would. The company we bought it from, ROA, just did an AC test on it. Here’s the link to the video. Hope this helps! czcams.com/video/ThuYsTA56ko/video.htmlsi=59EsEi4cXZxJ7IdC
KATMAI just one things to say I LOVE IT I have been there 4 time and I hope to be there another time Alaska is one of my best place
Great video! I follow the Katmai/Brooks River bears and this channel is a nice addition. Don’t forget Fat Bear Week 🐻❤️

Is this a new version or something? I have never seen this one with the raised back on it. The propane model I know is called the Freedom. What is the model of this one?
This is called the Travel. The picture doesn’t have the back but it does when installed. www.cinderellaeco.com/us-en/mobilehomes
How hot does that exhaust vent get? Any concern venting through the roof?
It’s fine. It really doesn’t get super hot. But you can definitely feel the hot air coming out the roof if you go up and put your hand near it. You can hear the propane ignite and then it vents out. You can kind a know when it’s time to clean out the incinerator bowl because you’ll start to smell the wax liners that you use. You never do smell any kind of waste though.
@@tracksandtails thanks I’m about to install one in a class A and was concerned about the exhaust temps as tpo roofs are only rated for 160 degrees
@@JCRUEY we’ll the roof on the Patriot Pause is made of 2” thick transcore panels so I’m not sure about a regular rv roof, but that’s what it was the travel toilet was designed for so I’m sure it’ll be ok but you may wanna call their support # or email with any questions… Zondra Howe 506-446-3406 Support@offgriddistribution.com

Handles urine too?
Yes. You drop in a wax paper that kind of looks like a coffee filter and it catches everything and then goes into the incinerator.
@@tracksandtailsI will definitely get it for my first van since even a dumb micro apartment rent is ridiculous and I am very hygienic. One question if you dont mind, is there any bad smell coming from the exhaust, and if so is it very present or not? I expect it to be top of the line since it is like 1/8 the cost of my entire van conversion lol. Thanks 💕
@@ChummiaChan sometimes you can smell the wax inserts but it only seemed really noticeable when it was time to clean the incinerator bowl. A little of that oder now and then but it’s not a sewage smell.
WOW……just WOW! You guys have inspired me to do similar. First the AT…. Then do a trip like that. So what are some of your lessons learned with the Pause? What would you have them do differently when you ordered it? (I have been following you guys on the Facebook group)…looking for nuance. Thanks for sharing
To be honest, I can’t believe anyone tows anything else up there. It’s just amazing engineering and so smooth. They have fixed fridge from moving with some kind of bracket and put straps on TV to hold in place better. We had a Sunseeker before the Pause and everything fell apart that could. Other than dust, it really still looked new inside. All aluminum everything works awesome. I think a positive air pressure system would be key for dust. And a much thicker mattress is a must. The Garmin system/pad worked flawlessly ( had to do only 3 comm reboots whole trip). Vacuum is awesome. Perfect size for two adults and two big dogs. Be gentle with the window handles and they’ll work fine. Up there, slightly better darkening blinds would be better for the midnight sun - the side windows work perfect for that tho. Just not upper ones. Even with that suspension, it’s going to hop around so secure everything. 78 mph was sort of the sweet spot. Having rear air suspension on our RAM 2500 is sort of game changer as well… superb handling and comfort for such a heavy trailer… ran at about 88 psi for towing. We did the Cinderella toilet. It had an issue and wouldn’t ignite right at last week of trip. Still working with them over that issue…. May need a new spark plug. Overall I can’t speak enough good things about Pause and the company. They’ve just been amazing to work with. I’m back to work for a while but hoping to retire soon and hit the road for many more adventures…
@@tracksandtails thanks for getting back to me. I have visited the PAUSE guys twice in SC and love the design and quality I see. Bought a 3500 HO (with complete tow package) so I can tow anything I want to …..it’s a plus to hear how well your 2500 did. Looking forward to a trailer that genuinely last for 10-20 yrs.
We have a 20.3 and really appreciate your info! Did you upgrade the mattress?
So they did give us a thicker mattress at the factory when we stopped by to leave. But it really still was not enough. I think some combination of memory foam and or pillow tops about 6 inches thick would probably work best. Just finding it in a trifold mattress will be difficult or it might have to be custom-made. They do have the bed only option now where it is out all the time on a platform so it wouldn’t have to be a trifold mattress. Not sure which direction we’re going to go quite yet.
Thanks.@@tracksandtails We found a site that offers folding RV custom mattresses we are going to try. Awkward though with the different thicknesses in different sections.
Had to use rocks too
Well done! Much appreciated the map detail, and the videography along the route. Very helpful as I plan our September route. The music is lovely, as well.
Great video, thank you
What’s your tow vehicle & towing capacity, tongue weight too ? Thx 👍⚾️
2020 RAM 2500 Cummins 19,650 Capacity I did go full air suspension in the back end with an Air IQ HD2 system. Works amazing. Pretty sure we’re over 1200 lbs tongue weight fully loaded.
Absolutely beautiful trailer (and truck). I'm looking to buy one, myself. How much are you loving it?
It’s amazing. Went with Carli Pintop suspension and full air on the rear end of truck. The ride is amazing. The Pause trailer is one of a kind. I don’t know how I’d ever tow anything else at this point. It is so smooth! Highly recommend it!

Panels on truck is what brand? Hope you do a build video on all your upgrades, mods. Really cool!
Those are the Renogy 300 w folding panels laying on the truck. They’re part of the Pause Hiatus package.
@@tracksandtailssame brand as the one on the truck hood? great idea to use that hood space that gets a lot of sun too!😊
@@AdventuresOfSpaceCowboy actually the one on the hood of truck is an 85 w Cascadia 4x4 panel. Has its own little MPPT controller under the hood. Provides a constant trickle to the Optimum truck batteries.
Is there an existing plug on the Pause? Thanks for sharing 😊
No. ROA Off-road installed the Victron Orion and ran the cable up to the front end of the Pause.
thats a lot of panels
When did you order your Pause and how long did it take to get it?
Around mid March… they did have a week or two shutdown but we picked it up May 12. Check with ROA Off-road. That’s where we got ours… at their South Carolina location but they had some in Salt Lake when we were there June 5th.
@@tracksandtails okay wow so you ordered in mid-March and got it 2 months later, even with a 1-2 week shutdown? That’s awesome!
