you don't even need to choose one --- if you're experienced enough you'll know that both 35mm and 85mm will work great together, whatever genre you put these two combos in (portraiture, street, landscape, architecture, etc.)

35mm is much more difficult to use, but if used well the photos reach a whole new level. Using 85 to photograph a whole person, on a parallel plane, hides the photographer's inability.

Just picked up this bad ass piece of glass. Was a toss up between this or sigma. So far not disappointed! :) pricey. The lens motor noise is way overblown in reviews. Tack sharp. Bought a sigma in the past for a Nikon D800 I owned way back, and struggled with calibrating it. Definitely buy native over gimmick. You may get lucky, but there is always a chance ya gotta buy a dock for it and calibrate. No thanks..

Tell an amateur photographer when the first thing they do, they tell the model to take these awful poses that women don’t actually take in real life… No woman sits this way with legs and squatting down with her leg spread. Not a single one. Trust me I know I’m a woman good looking one and I’m a fashion designer too. I work with women so take note Mr. Amateur photographer.

I would use an nd and cpl filter on the lense. Tone down the reflection glare. 8/10
