The Atlantic County Outlaws were the only undefeated team in Pool Play at the Future Starz College Showcase Tournament at University of Delaware. Stellar Defense and Timely hitting on day1 defeating two of the Top 5 teams in the bracket.
Do your job! Great execution for game winning run.

Leadoff batter, CW #52, reached on error then advanced to 2nd via balk. Aiden “get him over” lays down a fabulous bunt moving catcher’s courtesy runner, GM #2, to 3rd base w/ 1 out. ZS #27 hits grounder, “doing his job”, to his Outlaw teammate CW #29, allowing GM #2 to score. GTAA Mustangs 1, Mainland 3 0. Final score GTAA 10- Mainland 0

Future Starz Tournament Atlantic County Outlaws vs MA Warriors. Aiden Fazzino 5 innings, 104 pitches (65 strikes), 2 Hits, 1R (0ER), 3BB, 7K MA Warriors hit a ton of foul balls to raise the pitch count. But at the same time, working deeper into the game, building stamina to reach the 100 pitch count moving towards HS next season.
Classy move by the catcher after a hard loss.

Up by 2, with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th inning a quick rally on an error, balk and this base hit to end the game. It was the move by the catcher that really caught my eye. Wiped out on a good clean slide at home plate, the catch got up, gathered his gear and immediately thanked the umpire for his efforts. #thatsmycatcher

Highlights from at bats at Maplezone Sports Institute (MSI) Tournament Stat Line: 6-11, 2 2B, 4 RBI, 3R, 1 HBP - no walks, no strikeouts, reached on error twice. Not a bad debut with USA Prime Oilers 2028 team and first time playing at MSI

Firts one was a ball
@@Jery_Odyssey umpire said strike three, not we!!
I suspect his father had a lot to do with it. Raise them right dads. Some things are more important than a win or loss.
That was a good throw too.
Having been a youth sports coach, I can say from experience that most kids display good sportsmanship. Unfortunately, it is the parents that cause the problems.
Yep. Absolute class act. He could teach parents how to demonstrate sportsmanship. What I think I like best is that it happened right after a tough loss. Kind of like “f-k… oh well… hey Umpie, good game” This kid will be alright in life.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
His pitcher will get a few low strike calls next game.
Indeed a classy move unlike the team that won and acted like they hadnt won a game since they were 8 years old.
The other team had comeback to advance to the Tournament Championship game. They are just kids 14U. I don’t have a problem with that. It was a good game, we were up 3 and should have sealed the deal but it happens. No ill will.
@@MrFazzino Yeah, if it's a championship game, celebrate away, and all the more respect to the catcher. That makes the loss that much harder and the class shown that much more.
I'm confused on who won the game. Was it USPR or USPR?
It was def USA Prime who won: Navy beat Oilers in this one…. Awaiting the rematch! That’s what happens when big box baseball buys up all the smaller teams/organizations!
A mature catcher does it for preservation of self others too benefit.
This is a guy that is going somewhere in life...classy!
Pure class ! May Jesus bless him.
That was a good move, no doubt. The cynic in me thinks he has to catch again with the same ump in 2 days. 😎
That was the final game of that tournament for our team with that loss. Never saw the umpire prior to the day before this video and the day of. We return to that venue in a few weeks, who knows if we will see him again.
That catcher is a class act! True sportsmanship and he also shook hands with the umpire! A good guy! 👍
Nobody has commented on the catcher moving the bat that the guy would have slid into.
Smart catcher for moving the bat so it didn’t interfere with his play on the ball for a possible play at the plate. Had a situation earlier in the year with the opposing catcher not clearing the bat, incoming throw hit bat.
That’s a smart play to move the bat - for everyone’s safety and possible interference on the play. It’s also catching 101 - one of the first things you learn as a catcher b
Good to move it…. But bad throwing it onto the field where the ball could hit it or the cut off man could trip on it. Catchers should throw it behind them out of the way.
Batters should throw it out of the way. Catchers action is common. Courtesy
I did miss that the bat went forward towards the mound! Good assessment. Slide it back towards backstop.
W aiden
Respect to that catcher
Kid has a beautiful swing. Hope your season is killer this year!
Thank You!

You just edged me; I though the catcher was bout to do something dangerous
i thought they changed the rules where your not allowed to slide or run into the catcher????
This was a clean baseball play. Rules state you must slide or avoid malicious contact. Malicious contact supersedes all other rules in the book. But this was a textbook slide, catcher went up for the ball and came down hard. This is the way game was meant to be played.
Per every veteran umpire I've talked to - "A runner that slides low and straight probably hasn't done anything wrong." On a related note, the catcher, classy as he is, was blocking the path of the runner without the ball. No obstruction call correct as 1) the runner was safe anyway, and 2) "no baseball, no call".
@@hankdagenais4157. I agreed with your assessment of obstruction. Throw took him that way into the runners path but I wasn’t referring to any of that or the reason for the post. Just showing the character of the catcher after the play was over. As someone who had umpired for 30 years at all levels, I didn’t think anything of it when a catcher may have come up to me after a game but now I realize the impact that it has and just trying to bring something positive to light in a hard game and especially in this day in age where umpires are only shown in difficult situations.
Ump is helping a lot
All good, gotta find the umpires zone and pound it all day. Next outing 5IP 8K not as much of the umpire as you think!
So proud

I was operating the clock for this game and by random dumb luck, one of Aiden's teammates little sister just happen to have recorded this part of the game. We received this video a day or so later. I can watch this all day long... still get the goosebumps!
lets go aiden!
On this day in 2023, just before Aiden and I (Dad) came into the gym for this game we called Grandpa to wish him a happy birthday. We got his voicemail and left him a message. We planned to call him back after the game. Little did we know at the time, just after Aiden hit this game winning shot, we learn Grandpa passed away earlier in the day on his 79th Birthday.
Kyle. That’s Coach Dave umpiring and Aiden is the catcher!
