The Philippine Eagle and his Keeper
zhlédnutí 496KPřed 14 lety
The Philippine Eagle is one of the world's largest and most powerful birds. It is also critically endangered. Pag-asa (Filipino for "Hope") was born in 1992, the first Philippine eagle bred in captivity through artificial insemination. This is the story of Pag-asa and his keeper Eddie. More reports on the Philippine Eagle at debmultimedia.blogspot.com
Shrine, Davao City

My favorite place in Davao City is the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague. It is peaceful and relaxing. A video for a school assignment.
Any coments?
If there will be no drastic efforts in the remaining forests in the Philippines within the lifetime of the present generation, the legacy of our national bird will only be seen on tapes, mail stamps, or stuffed carcasses in museums. Let's not allow that to happen. What can we do to prevent it? Visit whatsnextph(dot)org to know the next steps.
this vs thing is getting stupid :/ why cant people just let animals be animals not toys for are amusement.
It looks like Nicholas Gage
Honey badger vs. Philippine Eagle... go
KARON PILA NA LANG KABOOK ANG AGILA DIRI SA PILIPINAS. MURAG ANG AKO NHIBALUAN DUHA NA LANG
Ka gandang ibon ehhhh
I hope the philippine government would do something to protect their habitat, not only theirs but for the rest of the animals too who depends on the nature resources
Beautiful bird but the harpy eagle is majestic. Tape this in the barre : The Rare Harpy Eagle at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center Part 1, and pay attention to the tallon. It's impressive.
Tape: The Rare Harpy Eagle at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center Part 1, and you'll see a beautiful speimen of harpy eagle. Pay much attention to te "tallon". It's impressive !
Philippine Eagles have the snazziest hairdos...
Haha…
man, that beak looks nasty
Modern day dinosaur right there people
beautiful bird
An informed, sensible and emotion-free commentary. Very well produced and photographed.
The largest eagle of all! And if any1 disagree, Google it before you comment something stupid.
i like your point of idea, pero mas mgnda sana kung makita natin sila as normal and free sa forest, sa zoo naka kulong pa rin sila.. tama ba?
sa youtube ko nalang ba makikita sila?? pano yung next generation natin?? sa pictures nalang?? kakalungkot... ='(
How’s the captive breeding program of the Philippine Eagle in Davao City coming along? All Filipinos should have the opportunity to see our majestic national bird without having to travel hundreds of miles across the sea by ship. Taking a domestic flight takes much less time, of course, but it’s also more expensive. Hopefully, the breeding program of the Philippine Eagle is a success. I’d like to see one at Cebu Zoo someday even if the entrance fee is increased tenfold from P25/PAX to P250/PAX.
idea: philip eagle and a harpy eagle will = the best eagle in the world. just saying
It's because majority of people in Davao are from different places in Philippines. That is why dialects are intertwined. Most of us can't really speak straight Bisaya. Tagalog and English is needed in order to make coherent sentences.
It's still a baby. If it's old enough to handle themselves, they will let the eagle go back to its natural habitat...
One of the best eagle of the world, it is mention in national geographic wild top ten best birds of prey as number 6.
That one is small for its kind. biggest ive seen (pictures) were about 1m tall
.......... and it is a lot, a lot easier to explain in your own language. :-)
Wow! LOL!
daku lagi ang philippine eagle
@plus24seven Im proud of my country Phillippines 24seven and I saw our eagle(Phillippine eagle)in a zoo in Manila and its big like a half of our body or bigger.
lol!!
I'm proud that my country is home to such a powerful and majestic animal.
Pag-asa was dead already,right?
Cool video..
MrEliasescobar - The eagle in the video is a male eagle named PAG-ASA (Hope) about15-20% smaller than the large female eagles. Pag-asa is the very first Philippine eagle successfully bred in captivity through artificial insemination.w/c was hatched in 1992.
Sorry for my grammar is Asia
@plus24seven The philippines is the 2nd largest english speaking country in asian and 12th in the world learn about that.
Keep em in hacking boxes that will do well like the sucess with Peregrine falcons and Bald eagles. These two species used to be Endangered so hacking is kinda good lets see what will happen with our philippine eagles if they were sent in hacking programs.
Instead of giving Pag-asa the meat directly, try throwing in the live prey for hunting. Maybe the raptor needs higher male hormone levels to produce more semen..
,,,,,5x...hmmm gr8 keeper
Is it a bad idea to let the males and females get together in captivity? Are they that aggressive with each other?
Make a law that anyone, native or foreigner, who kills or captures a Philippine Eagle shall be penalized. Then advertise that law on TV, on print, on radio, on posters and on the government's website. Protect the forest too. Some corrupt politicians in Mindanao grab lands and destroy the forests there. This has to stop! The wealth of the forest is never meant to only benefit few influential families. The forest is for every Filipino, every bird, every beast who live and co-exist among us.
When I grow up I want to help the Phillipine Eagles
I love Philippine eagles. One of the rarest, largest, most powerful birds in the world
Damn, the eagle knows how to strike a pose!!
I love how he tucks his wings up in slow motion, to say as if "That's right, bitches. Admire me." xD
breeding between human and eagle....is that even pssible?
I don't like how he peppers his Sugbuanon with English and Spanish words.
@Zambk938612 Why the hell would he speak English? It's not like he lives in the US.
No exotic animals will survive in this country. People will eat it and/or hunt them for $.
