Good music just completely transforms a scene that would've already been incredibly memorable to something that is actually life changing. The emotions this anime made me feel were so intense that it literally made me reconsider the way I had been living my life. It was my first step on letting go of all the hate and spite I had inside me, and I can't believe that I ever related SO EFFIN MUCH to a person that doesn't even exist, set in a different time, different beliefs, but nonetheless so immensely human... This show is a piece of art and it appalls me that not more people have experienced it. I took longer than I should've to watch it, and I can only say: "stop wasting your time thinking about it, I guarantee you will not regret it".

When this film came out I didn’t have time to catch it in a theatre. Work, life etc… and then I forgot about it! On a 10 hour flight coming back from vacation I watched it and was blown away! I actually watched it twice, (told my wife she had to watch it) then we watched it together! Absolute masterpiece! What stuck with me was the melody and music. This is what I listen to when I go up to Yosemite for hikes or camping. FYI: another film most of you may already know that has amazing music as well is “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” these two films I think of randomly through out my days!

The thing I find fascinating is the "Bathroom Dance" soundtrack. Most of you probably know this by now, but the scene where Arthur dances to the music despite the chaos, wasn't actually in the script. Todd must have played the music and Joaquin started dancing to the music. I love this movie so much, I am beyond addicted to this movie, must have watched it close to maybe 30 times already

日本語の題名は「殺人の追憶」 単なる連続殺人とそれを取り巻く群像劇と思いながら、最後にソンガンホが警官をやめ、側溝で昔の事件を思い出す。（たぶんどの人も、昔の仕事を離れれば”今”をみるから、昔のことは記憶の後ろにおいやっていた。そして、もうなくなったことと思っていた。）だけど、側溝を覗く真犯人を観たとき、自分の若い頃と、そして、今は何もできないという感情で幕を閉じる。とても記憶に残る映画でした。

When watching Bale's performance in this film, I almost believe that this is a man from 19th century US, a war veteran. I could not think that he is an actor in a scene, where in bacground he has a cup of Sturbucks and mobile phone. Nah... Movie and actors got me immersed in depicted period of history. Excellent and sadly underrated movie.
